Three singles would have helped more.

I'm with you; a few times I've had to pay for parking with those machines and I hate breaking a $20 and getting a collection of loonies and toonies - give me some $5's and $10's.

Congress looks at doing away with the $1 bill

Sounds like a good idea, but I'm really concerned about how this would effect the stripper industry.

Never fear. This is one issue that WILL get solved even if congress has to hold a special session.

Simple solution would be to just fill up those conveniently placed ATM machines with house stripper bucks. Put in your card, get a version of monopoly money that you can spend like real cash inside. Kind of surprised they don't do this already.

Could do something like a Dave and Buster's card, and you could just give it a swipe.

Too trackable.

Afraid it might leave a trail?

in europe many men's wallets have a large coin pocket on the outside.  that doesn't exist here.  it would be really difficult to make this happen without forcing it through . . .

Agreed.

In Europe, men carry purses and wear lipstick too...

I was thinking of a different song - something about "... and the men don't care ..."

Honestly though, when I was deployed to Iraq, we had paper pots for all the coins. It was too expensive to transport the coins. They only went down to 5 cent pieces.

It was less of an issue than you'd think because we use credit cards for so much these days. The more plastic we use, the less the $1 bill will be missed.
