Great RAGBRAI pics!  I'm so sad, I have NONE because my digital died in the tornado/hurrican/crazy ass storm that came through Sheldon. Got any from Amish country?

I don't have any good pics of Missouri. I live in suburbia anway, looks any other midwest suburbia. And, that's where I train. Nothing gorgeous about that. I do get to see some great scenery down in Southeast MO as part of work, and there is some nice hiking and countryside a bit outside of town.

Oh, Sarah!  That sucks!!  Actually I'm kind of kicking myself because Jeff kept the digital all day so he could take pictures of my departures and arrivals - and that means I missed out on some awesome countryside photos (like the Amish).  Next year, TWO digitals!

Sorry (hijack over everybody)!

Beautiful South Florida- the view from my parent's condo in Boca Raton. I live 15 miles south of them.

Whaaa? You think I took that pic I posted? Nope, borrowed from some local photographers site! So, local landmarks, grand vistas, whatever that's emblimatic (ie: James Brown! LOL!) of your area counts.

Tania -- yay! Cornfields! Wildflowers!

Also, here's a pic along the road that we took in the tri I did last month-Central California vineyards:

I lived in 12 different homes in 6 different states before my parents adopted me (in Iowa) when I was 12, and I lived there until I was 18. I lived in Kansas City for 15 years, but it never felt like home. Now I've been back in Iowa for 7 years, but I'll be glad to leave when my husband and I decide where the next phase of our lives will take us.  When my parents brought me into their home, my mother had put a picture in my room, that has stuck with me all these years even though it may seem trite.  It said "Bloom where you are planted".  That's why I post pictures of Iowa - it's where I am currently blooming.

Good old Morro Rock.  How long did you have to wait to get a shot w/o fog?

Well, as you can tell, it's a winter shot so it's less of an issue. Speaking of fog - we finally broke the 2&1/2 weeks of solid marine layer for a few days this weekend, but woke up to thunder and lightening this morning!!! Is this a sign of the apocolypse?

You sent the fog up here didn't you! Here it is, August, and I'm sitting here wearing a sweater and I actually have a blanket wrapped around me as I type this! I'm sorely tempted to turn on the heater.

Dude, it's 60 degrees and raining here! I've got the sweater, fleece vest, and a fleece blankie! Burrr.
