Ultimate goal ... make all of my self-doubt go away ... may not make it in 2007, but I plan to make some serious progress on it.

That's kind of sad. This reminds me of a quote from a Bruce Springsteen song "God have mercy on the man that doubts what he's sure of". Not a bad philosophy................

As for me, I am looking forward to saying bye bye to my 'legally married' status in the first part of the year.

Is it too early to start saying bye bye to Bush? 2 years isn't that long, is it?

Nah ... not sad at all ... I got rid of the self-loathing and associated self-destructive behaviors and am now pretty much a happy chick ... now I just have to stop doubting my abilities. Others seem to think I'm pretty awesome and capable; it's just past time for me to buy in.

Is there already a plan to this effect or will you be starting from scratch on Jan 1?

goodbye to the "For Sale" sign in front of my house.  It's been 19 months and the house is was priced lower than other cookie cutter houses in the same neighborhood.  I am no longer interested in just taking what I can get for it and will wait for the market to come back around.

'Others' generally have a pretty good perception of who we are.  I bet they are right.

We sure do, although I'm not sure how it applies in this situation...

Someone once said to me "If I could give you anything, it would be the ability for you to see yourself as others see you." It was a really nice thing to say...and over a decade later I think I realized what he meant. We should all have that ability.

  • Ditto.

I would also love to say bye-bye to my boss, but that won't happen.

Goodbye to an unemployed husband. He had a third interview yesterday, and really likes the people and payscale, so I hope they give him an offer. 2006 gave us our first mortgage, so I really hope 2007 will return us to a place where we can pay it!
