Its my first tri ever, so I have the normal prerace jitters. Its a .5/18/5 and it's looking to be a chilly start (50degrees) for the swim. ~Ben x2, but it's my season closer...nice end of the season race after starting the season with a HIM... I'm going to try something different and start last and catch as many people as I can. Last year I started up front and a swimmer swam by me and tried to drown me.  I'll be on the only Van Dessel bike in the race...trust me. |

Expert 828 | Subject: RE: Who's racing this weekend? Winnersville Sprint Tri in Valdosta, Ga. Now that Hanna is definitely going to leave south Ga. alone, I can make the trip. Not expecting much though. Between all of the afternoon/evening storms canceling every planned swim for 2 weeks, then storms from TS Fay closing the pool for the better part of a week, my swimming has been virtually non-existant, as has the cycling. I got a couple of 2000+ yard days in the end of last week but that's been all I could do. However, I like to run in the rain, so my miles have actually been increasing....No matter what happens, I am going to go race hard and have fun.... |

My baby is racing her first this weekend. it's a children's race.... actually it's BT's own MMAN Tri for Life race.... I'm volunteering for the adult race body marking and then in the children's transition area. I'm super excited for her. She's only 8 and already interested in TRI'S.... pictures will be posted on Sunday. The distance is 100 yards pool swim, 3 mile bike and a 1 mile run.
