I'm kind of fond of carbon.

Hmmmm I don't see the gun racks and ammo storage that I expected to see in the background.

Bismuth, it's the most diamagnetic metal on the planet and resists both heat and cold.  It's kind of an element all to itself.

this is it in it's crystalline state.

Laughing Regardless of current discussion, those rate pretty small in my life.

So what's your favorite element? ...

Okay, so I've been up since almost 4 am this morning, did 2 hours of snowblowing to clear the snow from our driveway (we have blizzard warnings), and being a little tired and with the monitor's display setting, and with reading the "white elephant" thread, I SWORE this stated "So what's your favorite elephant?"!

Zinc is by far the best element. I also like Plutonium. It's just fun to say. "How's your plutonium?" "Good, thank you."

Just saw this on pinterest last night...

Oxygen and Potassium went on a date.

It went OK.

Hey, are you made of Copper and Tellurium, because you sure are CuTe

are you full of beryllium, gold and titanium?

because you are BeAuTi-full!

Do you have 11 protons? Because you're sodium fine!

One says, “I think I’ve lost an electron.”
The other says, “Are you sure?”
The first replies, “Yes, I’m positive

Helium.

As a liquid, it is very, very cold.  When things are that cold, cool stuff happens.
