Bluejack - 2007-01-13 6:12 PM 2.5 hours of running the last two days and another 30 minutes with my brick tomorrow.  Swimming still hurt by the shoulder.  I might have trouble making the 10 hours for swi, but I'll try.

Don't do something stupid just to get the time in.  Let your shoulder heal if that's what it needs.....  That is some amazing schedule you have for this year! Good luck!

Great work everyone! A couple of people have some injury issues going on.  Take care of yourselves and don't push outside your limits.  Staying healthy for the upcoming season should be the primary objective!

Now, with that being said.....

A certain member of the blue team (wsm9363) has been talking some smack.  From my inspires yesterday:

Did you happen to notice which team was in the lead this week? Hummm I did, and it was NOT Red. Just like the Buckeyes, the Red team has such potential, but they choke on game day. Team Blue pulls out a head. I don't think it is the coach, but could be.....

Now I was just trying to figure out how to blow off Thursday's 6am swim/run session.  Not no more!!!!!!!  I am on it!!!!!!!!

GO RED!!!!!!!!

You know drdi if your team colors weren't Scarlet, I wouldn't even deem the team worthy of comment.  But since your captain and you are such luckless Buckeye fans, I figure I need to do SOMETHING to help spur you on.

You were thinking about skipping your workout, and so I am very glad to help inspire you to greater achivement.  Left to your own I am sure you would have fallen flatter than the Buckeyes did on January 8th.  But even with that the Blue dynasty will continue!!!

GO TEAM BLUE!!!!

And just who let this blue team member into our thread?

Don't pay any attention to him. It's not our fault if the blue team sandbagged on their goals.

A bit of swimming and my shoulder is holding up.  I prolly wont make the swimming, folks.

Ran 1.5 hours and did 9 miles which is prolly a pb for that time for me. Definately faster than my pb 1/2 M time and I was in Zone 2-4 for the run. Yay.

Great that your shoulder seems to be healing!  Don't worry about the goal.  There will be other months with countless more challenges.....   Goals are supposed to be to improve yourself and performance.  If you go out just to make a goal while ignoring the injury and it puts you out of commission for a couple of months,  does it make the goal worthwhile?  Go easy on that shoulder.  Congrats on your run today!

GO RED!!!

Good job everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got one more run and I'm done.  Should be this week.  Don't know quite how I am finishing early, but that's ok.  I am almost back to the total monthly mileage that I was running before I got injured last July.  (Yes it's hard to believe that someone can get injured running 9-10mpw, but I managed to do it and do it good.)  Gosh it's been a long slow slog back.  Still having issues but everything is still slowly moving in a positive direction.

Two more swims and I am done.  If all goes as planned, that will be Thursday and next Monday.  Yippee!!!!!  I absolutely cannot believe that I have been making it to the pool three times a week this month.  That is so incredible for me.

So good luck everyone the final 8 days.

GO RED!!!!!!!!
