As of today, I'm up to 8600.  I'm 1900 over.  We have a new tri club that's concentrating on swimming right now.  YIPPEE!! New people to play in the pool with.

All right pooltriots! There was some great swimming this past week. Congrats to matrimom and soggyfeline for hitting 100% already. I'm still struggling to find an open pool, but no worries - I will hit 25,000 yards one way or another by December 31st.

Keep up the good work everyone!

Enjoy your final challenge laps, MAtriMom!

I'm going for 3000+ this Saturday (tomorrow)!!

Cheers, -Sunny

Well, I didn't quite hit my really long Saturday swim goal, but as of today, 12/21 I'm 75% done with my 16,000 and I already have two swims planned for next week.

How are the POOLtriots doing anyway?  Surely we're better than last place by now!   If we're not, I'll be depressed!

Cheers,-Sunny

As of Monday we were in 5th place, but we are coming on strong - I know that I'll be posting some much better numbers over the next week and a half, now that my pool is open again.

This challenge was a great idea! I finally got my average hundred under 3:00. Still mighty slow, but a lot better than it was. I've been doing the whole "swimming downhill thing". It fells weird, but it works.

I swam on Saturday and twice today..for 3300 yards. Now I just over 4000 yards to go...should make it by Saturday. The Y has a strange schedule this week since kids are off school. But there is family swim until 7 pm every day so I can get home from work pick up my girls and go swimming,or swim during lunch or later in the evening. With five kids choices makes it happen better. It is hard to get more than 1000 yds in due to the chaos.

1400 yds a swim for the next three swims or I'll have to do longer or two on Saturday.

Wed swim with the girls or at lunch
Friday night: Swim at night
Saturday: swim as long as needed to make it to 13500.

I wish I could have done ows like NYtri...that sounds like a lot of fun!
