Subject: RE: isn't it all about looks? My wife runs with our son in the running stroller all the time. Sometimes I run with them, but I don't take him by myself. Just not at the level of endurance to make it worthwhile yet. I'll take him for walks, but him and Mommy do the running thing. As a stay-at-home dad for his first 18 months, I got over all the daddy and baby looking dorky worries, though. Just go with it. You love your kid and want to spend time with him, and if he enjoys it I say more power to you.
My neighbors all already think I'm crazy anyway, though. We live in a quiet neighborhood, and I get odd looks when I'm out back pedaling my bike on the porch, the sprinting to my garage or alley to do some powercleans or overhead presses, then taking off running around the block. People give me odd looks quite frequently, I just smile and wave. |
