Or anything angry by Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Avril Lavigne, etc. Angry chick music is always good. (Okay, Kelly Clarkson isn't always angry, but she has some angry/sad songs). Did I mention I hate Valentine's Day with a fervent passion? Speaking of angry chick songs...Alanis Morisette's "You Oughtta Know" came out just as I was getting dumped. That was my anthem for several months. Now when I hear it I get a good laugh. Thanks goodness I got dumped. |

Elite![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Estranged, by Guns N' Roses: (this is a nice and cheery wrist-slitter, enjoy!) When you're talkin' to yourself And nobody's home You can fool yourself You came in this world alone (Alone) So nobody ever told you baby How it was gonna be So what'll happen to you baby Guess we'll have to wait and see ONE, TWO Old at heart but I'm only 28 And I'm much too young To let love break my heart Young at heart but it's getting much too late To find ourselves so far apart I don't know how you're s'posed To find me lately An what more could you ask from me How could you say that I never needed you When you took everything Said you took everything from me Young at heart an it gets so hard to wait When no one I know can seem to help me now Old at heart but I mustn't hesitate If I'm to find my own way out Still talkin' to myself and nobody's home (Alone) So nobody ever told us baby How it was gonna be So what'll happen to us baby Guess we'll have to wait and see When I find out all the reasons Maybe I'll find another way Find another day With all the changing seasons of my life Maybe I'll get it right next time An now that you've been broken down Got your head out of the clouds You're back down on the ground And you don't talk so loud An you don't walk so proud Any more, and what for Well I jumped into the river Too many times to make it home I'm out here on my own, an drifting all alone If it doesn't show give it time To read between the lines 'Cause I see the storm getting closer And the waves they get so high Seems everything we've ever known's here Why must it drift away and die I'll never find anyone to replace you Guess I'll have to make it through, this time- Oh this time Without you I knew the storm was getting closer And all my friends said I was high But everything we've ever known's here I never wanted it to die Edited by ChineseDemocracy 2009-02-10 5:47 PM |

Extreme Veteran![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() My favorite breakup song is "Feel a Whole Lot Better" by Tom Petty. The reason why, oh I can't sayI have to let you go babe, and right away After what you did I can't stay on And I'll probably feel a whole lot better When you're gone Baby for a long time you had me believe That your love was all mine And that's the way it would be But I didn't know that you were puttin' me on And I'll probably feel a whole lot better When you're gone Now I gotta say that it's not like before And I'm not gonna play your games anymore After what you did I can't stay on And I'll probably feel a whole let better When you're gone -Joel

Veteran![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() My all-time favorite "love sucks!" song is Ben Folds' "Song for the Dumped." Love this song! Such an upbeat sounding song for such a terrible message, it actually makes me smile. Ben Folds Five - Song For The Dumped lyrics So you wanted to take a break? Slow it down some and have some space? F*** you too! Give me my money back, give me my money back, you b****! I want my money back. And don't forget, and don't forget to give me back my black t-shirt. I wish I hadn't bought you dinner Right before you dumped me on your front porch. Give me my money back, give me my money back, you b****! I want my money back. And don't forget, and don't forget to give me back my black t-shirt. So you wanted to take a break? Slow it down some and have some space? Give me my money back, give me my money back you ! I want my money back, I want my money back! And don't forget... |

Champion![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I really quite like that. In fact, I've found I enjoy everything I've heard from Ben Folds. So why do I not own anything by him that someone hasn't sent me? Gonna have to fix that... |

Extreme Veteran![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() "Feel a Whole Lot Better" - Isn't that by the Byrds? It was originally by the Byrds. Something about the Tom Petty version just speaks to me. -Joel |
