otter_sh - 2009-05-02 11:31 AM I am Steve - I am working to get to my first Tri.  Looking at one in June.
I am entered into a tri clinic now.  We did a double brick this morning.  Bike / Run - Beginners did 8 miles and then 1 mile followed by 6 miles and 1 mile.

This is all after I played 100 holes of golf yesterday.

Is that like marathon golf? Extreme golf? You must be tired. Take a rest for a few days

A golf marathon - Fund raiser - all together made about $65K for school.  Started at 7:00 AM, finished just a few minutes before 5:00 PM.

Right now just the back of my legs are very tights, otherwise I am doing OK.
Really awesome! And don't listen to Nicole (MDHillSlug) - she's not on our team!

I signed up for my first Tri - Actually a 3 race series - so soon I will be a triathlete....Smile

What? No red wine? (Or were the margaritas in addition to the wine? LOL)

Here, margaritas for everyone!

Hi everyone! I'm excited about this challenge. I am training for B2B Full Iron in November so this will keep me on track with my training. Plus it keeps my mind off my hubby being gone. He left 3 weeks ago today for Afghanistan...so all this training will be me focused and off the couch

I did Muddy Buddy yesterday! (One of my best races to date!) How do we log races or bricks on the chart?

I hope your husband comes home safe and sound. How long is his deployment?

For bricks and races just figure out your bonuses (1.5x for bricks, 2x for races) and log the total times/distances.

sorry... but i'm confused about the bonus thing as well...  yesterday i did a 15.1 bike / 12.7 mile run / 15.9 mile bike...  so would i log those miles... or multiple each by 1.5...??

If each was started within 15 minutes of the end of the previous event then it counts as a brick; then log them as 1.5x
