To me to go through all this training, monitor my diet and everything else I do and then go slog back a beer is tantamount to buying a Ferrari then taking it home and pouring sand in the gas tank. x2. Just went through that last night with some coworkers I owed some reward for work well done. One stinking belgian and some apps and my workout this AM sucked. Could blame the apps too, but the few drinks I have had this year usually screw up the next days workout quality. Time to change some habits IMO and its been for the better. Between training and raising four daughters, i find the upside these days is limited vs the bad. (And from a former beer snob of all people! ) |
