So do we want to get to know each other?
My name is Helen ......been at this tri game for 3 years now. Did my first half iron last summer. Twas a wonderful experience!
Despite my ridiculous username I am actually not a great swimmer.........I can swim forever but I would love some SPEED. Hence goal #1.
And as much as I adore running, my right knee has been giving me grief......so I must make goal #2 a bike goal. Which is fine by me. Cause I love to ride. Even in the snow. Even on the drainer!!

GoGoGo - 2009-12-01 2:06 PM Hey Team,

Gonna be a great month.  Like Evil Elves....cool logo as well.Cool

I plan to run as primary objective this month.  Also trying to a resistance regimin, with tri-orientated stuff.  The strength stuff is a combo of core, legs & shoulder swimming oriented resistance.  This is a new on for me & trying to give it an honest go, but am a little skeptical.   Nevertheless, gonna try twice a week, in addition to my runs, spin classes & swimming lessons.

Here's to a victory!!

CoolCool

PS.  Paul, good to be your teammate again!

LIKEWISE !    Come On Everybody LETS ROCK  !

Looks like ya'll have settled on a team name - I am going to attempt to rename your thread...  (I don't have magical Dee powers, so I am trying something different here...)

Edit - Well that didn't work...

You're right Helen.  We need to introduce ourselves!

My name is Tracy.  I have an adorable 7 month old boy.  Training is a bit of a challenge now.  I've been doing tris for awhile.  I have forgotten how many years.  I guess that means it's a lifestyle for me.

This month, I will be running 50 miles and biking 7 times.  I'd love to get to the pool, too, but lap times and childcare times and my time don't seem to intersect.

Good luck everyone!!!

I'm Nicole. This was my 3rd season of tri, and a disappointing season it was: three tri's scheduled (and a relay) but the 2nd got turned into a du because the water wasn't safe and then I had a foot injury that kept me from running in what was to be my first oly. I'm still rehabbing the foot so I'm logging swim and bike for this challenge.

Hi Team ,  I am Paul

Challenged with/against   many of you before.

When i first tri-ed  it was all fun , exciting and i lost a lot of weight and kept getting faster.

Seems the weight has crept back over the last 2 winters  and slowed me somewhat.

Goal 1    Will focus on 5-6 sessions a week training  to reach 250 miles  in whatever fashion i  choose :  swim , bike , run ,hill walking , XC skiing  etc , etc .

Goal 2    Watch my nutrition a lot more to see if i can  drop some weight over the winter, Starting this month with a goal of 10 lbs .  This will be far more challenging to me than goal 1 .

Benefit

I want to run longer distances in less time ( faster)  in the new year and the weight loss would also be really beneficial to my health .     Anyway here goes .

Tnx Dee!!

Hi Elves, I'm Susan.  Finished my 3rd year of tris as well.  Looking forward to getting faster on the bike with Jorge's winter cycling plan and would really like to get faster in the water, so bike and swim are my December goals.  There will also be lots of running and riding outside, but that's the Crappy Winter Weather Challenge

Looking forward to a fun December with you!!

Hey Evil Elves! Great name. My name is Tom, and I'm looking forward to a fun December with all of you. My goals are 8 ST sessions and plenty of running as I get ready for my first half mary at the end of January. I'm off right now to figure out exactly what my mileage will need to be this month.

Hey guys, I figured out I needed to run at least 75 miles this month in order to stick with my training plan, so I've added my goals to the spreadsheet. First run of the month is tomorrow!

Hi everyone.  Some familiar challenge faces and looking forward to getting to know everyone. I'm Kim and I just finished my 3rd season of tri's.  I'd like to do a HIM next year but need to work on speeding up the swim or I may not make the cut-off.  I also have some physical therapy work that needs attention. Since my knee went postal on me last month, I'll be focusing on swimming and knee PT...exact goals to be worked out tomorrow.  (actually, looking at my watch it will be later today.  Yikes, this was a long day at work.)

Forum maintance ate my post!!

Attempt 2.

Introduction time. My name is Stavros, I'm 33 and from London (hence why most of my posts will appear to be really early in the morning!). My first tri is in April, so currently I am just working on building my running and cycling base before starting the sprint plan in January.
Therefore, my goals are to complete the 12 running and 12 cycling sessions I have planned for december.

I guess everyone is introducing themselves so here it is... My name is John (friends call me Boz). I have been in the military for 21 years and currently work and live in North Carolina. I've done a bunch of sprints and short duathlons. I would love to do longer races but my swimming SUCKS. I haven't trained since August when I fractured a vertebrae in bike crash. I'm finally healed and ready to train again. Next race is a duathlon on January 16th.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and winning this challenge.

Good to meet some new teammates!

It's freezing here today and the thought of going to the pool tonight is not appealing, but that's why we join challenges

Hello all, My name is Bill and I just completed my 2nd year of triathlons. I did 3 sprints my first year and last year did 1 sprint, 2 Olympic and finished the season with a HIM. When I crossed the finish line at the HIM, I yelled, "NEVER AGAIN!" For the next 2 weeks, I told everyone I was only doing sprint and Olympic distances from here on out... then 2 weeks after that, I signed up for the Syracuse Ironman 70.3. We are gluttons for punishment, arent we? I'm 43, married, 3 daughters (6, 9 & 12) and live about an hour east of Philadelphia. I love these challenges because I tend to get very lazy from a tri-training perspective in the offseason. Looking forward to getting to know you all!
