The chamber:

And the other half of the room is my office.  That way I can be near my bikes while I'm working (to keep them company, you know, in case they need something)

PirateGirl - 2010-01-14 7:28 PM My workout room is just off the front door. It's still a work in progress, but right now it's functional.

My gym and swim bags I keep by the door so that they are easy to grab & go:

The closet has all the cycling gear and tools:

I need to re-texture the room and paint it, then put carpet tiles down. We are also planning on knocking out the window and turning it into a french door so that the bikes can easily wheel in and out of this room. The projects seem to never end!

Being that organized is not very pirate-y.

Dude.  That is totally pro.  Nice!  My trainer is actually set up in the living room next to the couch in front of the TV.  Will have to move it for my Superbowl Party, but the rest of the time it's actually pretty out-of-the way.  Benefit of having a 43 cm frame.

Versa Climber - awesome!!!!  Nice setup!  We have a workout room that we need to finish off - it is roughed in with sheetrock now.  We have a treadmill, recumbent bike, weight bench, dumbbells, and a flat screen and small fridge for cold water.

I'm not in to torture.  Soon I'll have a flat screen for TV and to accept a feed from the Computrainer

And kid friendly, too:

Our bikes are set up in the middle of the living room. Not the guest room, not the basement... the main living room. LOL! We do move them when we have people over but it's pretty funny that we both thought that was the ideal place to set up our bikes and trainers.

I'll go ahead and say my "torture chamber" is simply the fact that I need to break down and set-up my bike/trainer for each workout. I live in a 850 sq. ft apartment (with s.o.) so there isn't exactly room for the trainer to live permanently anywhere. I have to put together all my stuff before I can even start my workout :-( Hoping for a move to a bigger place in the next year or so, tho!

I feel lucky..my trainer used to be in the middle of our family room but I moved it to our sun room this year. We have 6 windows and door so it feels like riding kind of like outside. I can open the door when riding when I get to hot.

I need to take a picture..this is fun thread seeing how everyone works it out given their logistics of their home.

I wouldn't be able to use my bike trainer in most of the small-quarters setups here.

I sweat WAYYY too much. In a hard one-hour session, I will literally leave a pool of sweat nearly 5 feet in diameter on the ground. I have the Cycleops large climbing block for the front wheel, and I have to literally pour the sweat out of it after the workout.

I put my trainer in my apt parking spot after moving my car. Works great. Helps that I'm in Socal and not freezing temps, though.
