I finally made it out to the Course, and did the 94km, plus 8 at the start due to some navigational issues
(lets call that the un nessary warm up
),,,, I found it started out nice and easy, then I got out of the parking lot. The first 35 km was, to me rolling hills with the steep ones thrown in every now and again. The #35 High way was wicked, long rollers and some good climbs but I felt fast,,, at the 70 km mark I still felt good tired but good,,, towards the end once back on North Protage road is where I realize why this was no your adverage ride in the park so to say. Th once nice rolling 35kms at the start turned in to ,,,,why the hell am I doing this,,, those short really steep hills one after another took there toll,,,,on a good note the last 4km I found relitively refreshing and not so bad,,,,I pick up the cadence hoping to have some "fresher" feeling legs once I hit the parking lot,,,that didnt work,,,,Any way I averaged 33km/hr and learned I need more food,, 2 gels, 3 packs of gu chomps, 2 cliff bars, and 3 liters of water were gone by 85km and at 92 I really wanted a drink. Ithink it was well worth the drive and time on the bike and suggest it to everyone, for sure. Hope this may help someone out there,,,see ya on the 12,,,,OH one last thing I think the TREK TTX 9.9 I picked up last week was worth every penny. Happy Training
