Hello Team! My name is Jennie, and I have not done a challenge in awhile, time to get busy. I will be concentrating on running mostly since I have a marathon comming up the end of January. 4 goals 4 November...

1. Run 100 miles (sounds like alot when it's said out loud)
2. Core 2x week
3. Lose 10 pounds (140 by 11/30)
4. Meditate daily...nothing quite like forced relaxation

Morning guys!  I had a crazy day at school yesterday.  It's the end of the semester push I guess.  I have three papers all due at the same time, a presentation, a media project and exams all coming up quickly.  Yikes!  So, my training goals will be on the lighter side as I will be at the library most of the time.  Bummer.

<3 <3 <3

What a gorgeous beast!!!! The running pic is hilarious.

I plan to breed Labradobies here. The ultimate everything, including affection and goof, machine. Only not the ultimate couch potato. I don't know, though ... I've seen some pretty fat Labs and one Dobie we had was a TOTAL couch tater. The only 'activity' he liked was fishing. Mainly because that only involved standing around in water and waiting for a fish to go by to grab it. He had to be pretty quick, though.

Beautiful dog!  I knew a doberman retriever once- she was a lovely dog but never quite recovered from my cat beating the tar out of her!  (He was a bada$$ cat).  We have an Australian Shepherd (extremely smart, anxiety disorder), and a yellow lab (hmmm, not so smart, fond of rolling in, eating, throwing up, and re-eating dead things).

mndymond - 2010-11-02 10:40 PM Hey team! Just finished a swim. I think my plan for Nov more or less follows as : 4x swim week, 3-4x bike, 3x strength and starting after Remebrance Day 3-4x running. I'll have that all somewhat quantified better in the next few days when I get my off-season/re-entry/IM schedule figured out. I have a swim meet on 13-14th this month and another at the beginning of Dec. (I went back to swim with my old club I trained with in HS)..I have my Obs/Gyn/Uro final at the end of the month too so I have to get time management thing down for this month! Haha. When to study/when to train?

Are you in med school?  Ob/Gyn was not my favorite part .  Training was tricky in school, but for me the worst was residency. Now life is better (somewhat) .

Ya. Pre-clinical 2nd yr. UofA Edmonton, AB. We start our clinical rotations next September. Its urology week right now. We finished 2 weeks of gyne last week and next week starts obs. They were joking that they needed to give the guys a break and put urology in between. I find urology kind of boring.

I just avoid thinking about residency right now....haha

pennyminpin - 2010-11-02 4:51 PM I have a doberman and a min pin.  I am trying to be the athlete my doberman would like me to be.  I just can't run fast enough or far enough for him.  He need to go run with a cross country team.
So my goals are big for me.

run  3 times a week
do the cross fit cardio/strength training in the gym 3 times a week
I will take the 7th day for rest or to finish sewing Christmas projects.

Not a fan of the gym or running so it is a good thing we are doing the challengeSmile   Now that it is out there it has to get done.

Ah, I had a red dobie.  My first dog after college.  She was a sweetheart!

She is good looking.  Hard to find the really good looking ones.    Mine would not eat your dog.  He has been chased down the street by a 3 lbs chihuahua.  Just a lover not a fighter.  My min pin on the other hand is a terrorist.
Off to martial arts class, placement testing and then the gym.  Have a great day everyone.
