It was a nice day for a run - a little cool before the race started but perfectly nice once things got moving. I ran a PB (2:39:xx) which surprized me since I've on run outdoors once since November and my longest treadmil run was 20km. My legs will pay for it tomorrow.

Nice job guys! Sounds like most had a good day out there.  I think I probably appeared to be fine but it was a total slog for me. I kept plotting my exit at the relay points - haha.  I did run all of the hills - so that's 4 for 4 - no walking on the hills any of the years i've participated.  I came in 2:47:14 - slower than last year and the year before but not by too much and that is still a great effort!

Definitely have some business to do with this course again next year!

I do wish they would add projected finishing time-based corrals. This race is way too big not to have them.

It was a great day for a run!  It was my wifes 31st b-day on race day.  She really enjoyed the run since it was her first time really experiencing the Hammer and Burlington.  We came in at 2:50, not our best performance.  Not making excuses for ourselves (LOL), but we did a 4 hour fundraiser crossfit circuit on the Friday before the race.  We were really SORE going into that run but I think our compression socks saved us a bit on the hills!  Great job everyone and look forward to "threading" the rest of race season!  Happy Training!!!

My wife and I were thinking the same thing!  We started at the back and just passing sooo many people to get with the runners at your pace took forever.  We added 500m (GPS) to our run just by weaving in/out of people.  I didn't even see any of the pace bunnies and I thought there was suppose to be those too.  Ah well, great day!  Look forward to next year!
