I'm not sure what team I should be on... my house is in Mountain, but I'm living in my RV 95% of the time, which is currently in Pacific. I'm leaning towards Pacific, but my BT location does say MT??? Go Pacific , it's warmer in winter , your call |

I've got lots of running to do anyway, and I love the company. I've also have two races coming up, so I like the bonus idea. What are you racing ? I am doing 13.1 on sunday so taper week for me. I'm running Antelope Island 50k Saturday and the Rim Rock marathon the next weekend. After that it's taper time for the NFEC 50 miler in December. Have a great race Sunday! Thanks its our local race so lots of friends (rivals on the course Antelope Island sounds pretty scenic ! |

Veteran 392 Calgary | Subject: RE: Novemburr Run Challenge I'd like to join - I didn't do October's challenge but I need the accountability and the discipline. I'm Mountain. ETA: I put myself down for 16 sessions - the past couple months I've fallen off the training wagon (see the "Boyfriend and I broke up" thread in CoJ...sigh) ... and I don't think I can handle the pressure of distance and time. I just need to get on that tready 16 times, and I'll be happy with what I've accomplished. Edited by bodhi_girl 2011-11-01 9:54 PM |

If you feel good on the day , go longer , hit the hills , get into speed work If you are not feeling it , get moving anyway and see how it goes after the warm up either way counts as a session . My swim coach says it was better to swim a few minutes 3 times a week than cram it all in in one session. |

Expert 1260 Norton Shores, MI | Subject: RE: Novemburr Run Challenge Ok I am all setup in the spreadsheet for the Eastern TZ - Michigan. I am hoping to get to 150 miles for the month which may be a bit ambitious. I was at 140 last month but we also had 5 weekends . I have one race scheduled...a 4.5 mile trail race that is just down the road at the State Park. Other than that, I am just trying to safely build mileage to set me up for a great spring race season where I hope to go Sub :39 for a 10K and Sub :60 for a 15K. I am roughly following the Barry P 1:2:3 program which is popular over on Slowtwitch and I really like the structure right now. I am currently at 4-8-12 so I have 3 short runs of 4 miles, 2 medium runs at 8 miles and 1 long run at 12 miles. I am adding some intensity to one of the medium runs at this point. Had an 8 mile run yesterday...4-5 miler scheduled today at lunch. |

Expert 1145 Ann Arbor, MI | Subject: RE: Novemburr Run Challenge I wanna play! Plenty of running planned for November up here in Michigan, so I could use some extra challenge motivation to get out the door these dark mornings. I'm building toward a couple of 50k trail runs this winter, and I might sneak in a HM road race for giggles this month. I signed up for 280 miles (with a super secret goal of breaking 300, shhhhh) under the Eastern TZ team...so long as they'll take me in |

Elite 3489 Lakewood, CO | Subject: RE: Novemburr Run Challenge I think I want to play! Off season but doing 2 races this month and I want to lay a foundation for prep period.... So lets see = 10% limit over last month + extra 50% mileage on race days is that right? So I could go 66.1 miles + bonus mileage of 6.3 for 2 races so my goal limit would be 72.4??

You may want to take into account November 30 days vs October's 31 . So you could subtract 3%. Plus turkey day festivities and holiday travel if that's the case . |
