However, remember that you are truly among a very select few with the drive, discipline, intelligence, and guts to successfully fly aircraft crucial to our defense. So now will you be taking reservation for fellow BT'ers for a ride along? Something about the idea of "supersonic" that would be very appealing. If you could though pass along a little request to your fellow flyers, lets not go supersonic over the golf courses in the Ft. Walton Beach area, say while I'm putting!!!! Happened a couple years ago to me, felt like I had been hit with a sledge hammer, and they were quite a few miles away. I heard later it was a family day at the base and included an airshow. I actually have never gone supersonic in the B-1. I went ONCE in a T-38 in pilot training. From inside the airplane it is positively anticlimatic. Never been outside of an airplane when it went super! Seriously, there are actually very few places where you are allowed to go supersonic. One of them IS a military operating area we use a lot (in Utah) but I haven't been out there yet. Of course...accidents happen. |

Well Rapid City is pretty close (B1 wise) to Minneapolis, if we could arrange one of those "accidents" say this summer when I'm playing golf with a buddy, and say he's putting, and perhaps there might be a wager... Again congrats! A super accomplishment. In another life, I had been accepted to the Air Force Acad, with my sights set on a flight career. Then life happened, eyes went, so now is sit at a desk. | Regular 178 Mound, MN | Subject: RE: I'm DONE! There are a ton of great Tri's, all depends on when you'll be in Minnesota. The one I would suggest is Brewhouse in Duluth. I think it's in August. The water will be cold but the temps on the North Shore are great for the rest of the race, and you can't find a more beautiful setting to find yourself outside.
