Yep, working the dough is my weakness, I just can't leave it alone.

Man, I got caught 'working the dough' one time in when I was 14 and my big brother STILL brings it up EVERY family gathering.

So you were a young baker were you?? Or perhaps a candle stick maker???

  • What "fluvial geomorphology" actually is...

It's the study of how flowing water, especially rivers and streams, affect landforms. Sediment transport, river mechanics, hydraulics, etc. We've all got our things that we geek out on, and this is mine.

Glad I could help someone learn a thing they had yet to learn.

  • Kite surfing - it looks SO cool, peaceful and fast
  • How to make beef wellington
  • How to make bouillabaise
  • How to knit
  • How not to kill orchid and bromeliad plants
  • How to push myself to perform in a way that does not include negative thoughts
  • How not to shank my golf stroke 30o to the right everytime I use my driver (I'm pretty sure I need to turn my right wrist in just a smidge)

That's a start.

Renee, I can teach you how to knit! I don't know why I just admitted that!

flatulence - my friend had 3 brothers and they used to fart into a tube and hold the air in there.  then they'd go find her and blow the air at her.  juvenile, disgusting, and, in hindsight - hilarious.

laundry - use shout color catchers - they are like dryer sheets only they go in the wash with your clothes and absorb all extra dye so nothing runs into the other.  they're a lifesaver! i never separate my clothes by color anymore, and it's awesome.

things i would like to learn:

  1. how to play my favorite chopin pieces on the piano
  2. how to hack linux like a pro
  3. how to write bug free software
  4. how to make everythign my mom makes (foodwise)
  5. how to be a master of my bike
  6. how to make emacs and linux my b*itches

Renee - I can help with the bouillabaise.

Oneword - make them dry with LEMON thank you, pace yourself and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE

Autumn - move to Florida.  Drivers licenses are optional.  And rock climbing?  Don't cantilever your butt.  Keep your center of gravity over your feet.  Cathedral and White Horse Ledges in NH under my belt.

*  basic home repair - right now all I'm good at is signing a check

*  patience, with myself and others

*  second the pie crust, not be a slob and add REALLY GOOD BREAD into the mix

  • that I can't do it all

Things that I have learned:

Mom's are usually right.
