I hope he brought a gift! Also, so sorry about your mom!! Ahem, this is exactly why you returned to Indonesia, and thank God you are there and YOU CAN do this. I just sucks you are having to deal with it while you are not doing well yourself.
Isn't the important question did he bring anything to eat?? Kirsten is an ALERT MANATEE! We--meaning he mostly, and then Patrick and Bianca (our friends) and me lastly, not so much, ploughed through nearly ELEVEN POUNDS of seafood tonight ... squid, red snapper, and shrimp. With fixins. Even I was impressed. I'd say that's bringing it on ... anyway he was part of all three taking me to dinner, so in that sense he certainly brought something to eat. |

I keep telling our old dog, who is in kidney failure and drinking a lot, to 'save some for the fish' whenever she is at the water bowl. However, if you all are going to eat fish like that, I guess I can stop. That's a lotta fish. |

I suppose it is just as well that I'm a bit under the weather now, poor fellow would get steamrolled before he even got started ... I've never seen a better DJ/VJ show than that which he does with our friend Patrick (and you could say I was, and still am, a bit of a clubber when I'm up to it). Wonder if I can find a clip. |

Member 892 England | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod i WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGISE TO MY WIERD AND WONDERFUL MANATEES FOR BEING ABSENT THIS LAST 8 DAYS OR SO. I have read the last 12 pages or so of posts this evening in an effort to catch up. How can so much happen to so many people in just a few short days?!? I have been struggling with my own motivational demons and have become wrapped up in insignificant little issues, leading to me skipping training and keeping up with you guys. After reading all of your trials and tribulations, i thought it time to give my head a wobble and count my blessings. I am inspired every time i log onto our site. The wise words of the various members of the pod i am so proud to belong to, never fail to lift me and help me realise that there are some wonderful people out there. And i am lucky enough to know some of the best. Thank you all for being around and sharing your time, effort, emotion and wisdom with me, and each other. You made me slip on my trainers. and run. (for i am a triathlete and have elasticated laces). God bless all of you who are suffering right now. Things do get better, and I am with you til they do.

Nice to see you share your leadership of this group with those lower down the food chain than ourselves. Will be thinking you and your mum as you deal with the difficulties you are facing right now.
Good to see you back on the motivating salty train... It's just like falling off a log, or riding a bike, sooooo easy to do, it just comes naturally Glad to here FIL is in a good position to improve. Lets hope its soon |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Tripopo - 2012-05-17 1:18 AM FIL had the procedure this morning, no blockadge which my DW expected and she is there now so I think that will help, she and her youngest sister are the only medical types so it can be confusing without an interpreter with all the medical jargon. So the plan is mostly cardiac rehab and medication while watching his lungs and clearing out the fluid/pnemonia. So GOOD NEWS for the most part
Yanti I'm so sorry your mom is sick sending good vibes and prayers your way. You are an immensly strong person and I know you can do this. We are here if you need us. Thank you Kirk {MELON PRESS} and that is wonderful news about your FIL. I will continue to keep him in my prayers as he rehabs. |

I can't remember the name, or at least I will butcher it, so I need her to type it out for me but it's a beach town about 3 hours from Bangkok on the Gulf side. She starts in August....Winter Vacation! *Disclaimer, for some reason I don't associate Bali with SE Asia, and no, there isn't any logic behind that. Edited by Asalzwed 2012-05-16 4:32 PM |

Master 4452 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Got a bike question. Well a tire question actually. What pressure should I be pumping them up to if the max pressure is 120psi? I weigh 150lb. I realize it depends somewhat on road condition, etc, but what's a good starting point? |

What pressure should I be pumping them up to if the max pressure is 120psi? I weigh 150lb. I realize it depends somewhat on road condition, etc, but what's a good starting point? I believe, as you said, road conditions have a lot to do with this along with personal preference (trial and error.) Obviously the closer to that 120 the harder (and faster) ride you will have and the opposite for lower pressure. I keep mine pretty close to the max (110ish) Edited by Asalzwed 2012-05-16 4:50 PM |

Coastal Carolina | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod I also go for fuller=better route. Not sure if that's just the bike cop in me though, fuller tires are less likely to get pinch flats from going over ruts, bumps and other debris, in addition to what salty said fuller = less resistance and a faster ride. |

I have not been paying attention, obviously. I knew you were an officer; and I knew you rode; but I never put the two together. When you are riding on the job, how many miles a shift do you think you typically cover/ride? |

Master 2770 Central Kansas | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod I am pretty satisfied this evening. I went out for a ride at 8:10 p.m. I figured I had about 30 minutes before the sun went down, and I wanted to do my regular bridge ride (10.3 miles), so I spun out to the highway and then just booked it as fast as I could -- to the bridge and back. I made it door to door (including spinning to highway and back) in 40 minutes. On the hybrid. I will not lie. It was tough. Nearly 15.5 miles per hour. Average. Which means I was really cooking that thing out on the highway. I was going to run this evening, too, but I think I am done. I'll move my six mile run to the morning, and I can probably still squeeze in a 4 mile run while the boys are at swimming lessons after work. Just proud of myself tonight. As my swimming improves, the bike is my weakest link. |
