FYI,  I realize I need/love 8 hrs of sleep a night.  I had to call in and be an hour late this morning because of the three 6 hr   nights in a row.  I feel much less crabby today than the last few days.  8.5 hours last night.  Yay.

T & M,

The great news is, AZ course is flat enough you can take it easy on it and still be able to make decent progress.  Some of the other courses force you to work hard on all the hills.

I plan to take it easy on the bike.  Probably easier than my training rides (like a Sunday cruse) and survive the run.

That's the plan Stan. My goal of sub-12 is no longer valid. Now I'm just going to enjoy my day and take it all in.

Going to sign up for 2013 by any chance?

I go there thinking "no", but then remember how hard it's to get into, and end up paying again (at least that's what happened last year).

No. No money. No motivation.

My goal is to do a 50-mile trail ultramarathon in 2013. Monica wants to do another IM I think, but a different one. On the other coast, I think, and a non-MDot race.

Sidenote to WWF players.

I dinged my cousin for 135 points the other day.  Probably my highest score EVER.  He put an "A" by the tripple letter on the top row.  I was able to play "ZEAL"  Got the tripple letter score for the Z in two directions and the Zeal hit the tripple word.

135!  BOOYAH!  Here comes the BOOM!

Yeah, I'm not doing another for a while.  Unless it's Vineman or Redman or if they bring Silverman back.

I want to do XTERRA and maybe the 100 mile MTB race in Leadville CO.  That would be coolio.

Do it!  I just did my first trail ultra, a 50K, and it was bad azz!  Way more enjoyable then the street version.  The vibe was more like a long training run with friends.

I'd like to do one earlier than November (I'm really not liking training at this time of the year), and I'm at the point where I'd really just like this one to be done even though we've still got a month and a half to go.  I was thinking of either Beach to Battleship or a REV3 race for next year.

I could be talked into a trail ultra though.  As long as I have a stupid long cutoff time.  Like 10-12 hrs.

That's not stupid long. You'd be doing well to finish in 10-12 hours for a 50-miler.

My God, I can't even contemplate a 50-miler..... then again, a year ago I couldn't contemplate a HM, so it's all perspective, I guess.

I'm pacing a friend doing a 100-mile run the weekend after this coming one. Did it last year, too, she finished in 28hours... There is typically a 30-hour cut off for 100-milers. Crazy people - love 'em!

Darn conference. New TAN and its already on page 3? Oh well, note to self check with the hotel to make sure you don't get the room next to the loading dock. Really not cool. This place gets deliveries all darn hours of the night and day.

You are right.  Now that I think about it.

12 might be cutting it close.  It would probably take me 10 to do it on the road to do 50miles.  I need 15 for the trails.

OOOO  we should do the Pikes Peak marathon.  Seriously.  hard core baby.
