rrizzo - 2006-06-29 11:15 PM LMAO...that was great jeff...but you know comet just did that amazing jockstrapping for jeepfleeb so we are going to have to step it up a notch

I think some cheerleading moves might top Comet and Jess's last jock strapping adventure.  Ya'll have plenty of time to practice.  That might actually count as cross training!

I'm excited to see that they'll be plenty of BT jock straps there!  It'll make the race much more fun!

I expect top-notch jockstrapping, people!

OK, I think I have found a house. It is my third choice, but the first and second choices have not emailed me back. Here is the link:

http://www.vrbo.com/11982

The only problems: one couple will be in a room with 2 beds. And there are only 2 bathrooms. It is 1.1 miles from the race site. Best parts: own pool and only 145 bucks a night (plus $95 cleaning fee and 11% tax). Divide that by 8-10 people and we are talking DIRT CHEAP!!!  If nobody has any objections, I think I will book it, and maybe book it for the training weekend too.

sounds good to me. And us jockstrappers should get less preference on sleeping and we promise to do you proud...I was a cheerleading for 8 years and coached 10 so have some fun ideas for ya'll...besides the good italian cooking of course.

You're putting a lot of pressure on me now.  Its been awhile since i've done any stunting.  And even then it wasn't much.  We will need much practice before IMFL.  Give me a couch or even the corner floor and i'll be fine.

BOOK IT! I love the price, and don't care about sharing a room or whatever. As long as I have a bed or something bed-ish to sleep on, I'm golden. Hell, I'll bring my Aero-bed down it need be! I'm in girl!

Two words, Ocean Terrace. Its about 1/2 mile from the race site but I hear its delightful. www.oceanterrace.info I'll be in a condo with my Sister who's coming to jockstrap...still don't get that term . My buddy Randy, who's racing will also have a condo next to me with his family. I'll be flying in Thursday afternoon...just in time to pick up my stuff, and I'll have to Jet out on Sunday afternoon/evening. Sucks I know but its all the time I can get off of work... that is IF they let me off.

Wow.. I didn't know so many BTers are racing and jockstrapping!

I decided to come down to watch, cheer and have fun...plus the race on my birthday. My husband thinks it is weird I want to come watch a race and not spend my birthday with him and my five kids...but hey this is a dream of mine and great way to live it a bit.  I'm staying with Sue...but looks like it will be a huge BT gathering. I'm committed to not signing up for 2007 so you all need to keep me to that....maybe 2008 but not next year.

Good luck with that!!! I have a feeling that once you watch the race, you'll sign up the next day! Stay strong and resist...if you can.

I am sending in the deposit for the house today. Is anyone staying at the house planning on arriving before Wednesday or staying past Sunday? If so, I will book the house for longer than Wed-Mon but you will need to pay for the extra days yourself. Let me know ASAP.

Ohhh...I hope you're not trying to challenge me. I'll be down there with my #1 IronStrap Chippy. Not to be rude or anything....but we will CRUSH YOU!

You can win the award for dinner though. I'll pass as I don't like to do the dishes after.

So are you guys and gals only jockstraping for the people you know? Cause I'd love a sign or someone yelling at me to "run faster" even though I've never met any of you. Yet IMFL would be a good place to start

Well, technically 'yes'. So that means, hook up with some BTers at races, come to the IMFL pre race BT dinner and we'll know you. Then we'll cheer for you.

See you there!

Well, if you are the jockstrap in a house full of athletes its pretty much your job to do everything. I'm recovering.

I think we should have a jock strapping competition on the course for IM FL.  A few jock straps pair up and MUST have a theme.  After the race the IM participants vote on the best group of jock strappers based on content of signs, attire, course rowdiness, etc.  That will force all the jock strappers to go all out when they see us on the course   What do ya'll think?
