Now it's time to start stressing about the weather

We should set up a pool or something.

I will be there pacing the Half Marathon for Coach Jim and Fort Worth Running Company.

Each year we (Fort Worth Running Company) have pacers for varoius splits from 3:00 Full to 3:00 Half.

Feel free to join one of our groups and we will pace you to the finish ahead of your goal.

We (pacers) are easy to find/ see with target time signs and bibs.

I will be Pacing the 3 Hr Half (13:45 Mile) and always have a great time with my group.

This is about my group and the people that have set a goal. I do my best to keep them motivated and it is amazing to see a person finish their first Half AHEAD of their goal.

This is my 5th year pacing with them and I will complete my Star as well.

The wife and I will run the 5K togeather on Sat and then we will be at the EXPO to meet/greet for a few hours so please stop by and say Hello...

FYI The weather looks great for Sunday, so far....

My wife and I are both running the 10K on Saturday.  But this will be my first full on Sunday.  I'm more than excited, nervous, and scared!

Here's a link to the list of pacers, thanks Fort Worth Running Company.

Good luck on your first Marathon just remember ANY recorded time is your PR so your goal is to finish. Start slower than you think you need too (with one of the groups?) and trust your training. If you put in the work you will be fine.

Watch your pace the first mile or two as it is easy (and not unusual) to be 2 min per mile fast (unless your running 7 min miles which will hurt you later in the run.

Maintain your target pace even if you feel great until 23-24 miles GLORY is so close but it can be so far if you let'er rip too soon. Your emotions will get you through the last few miles but keep them (and your pace) under control...

When you cross that FINISH line it's OK to let the moment take you as it is the BIG PAYOFF for all your hard work.

Jimmy, hope the sinus thing is on it's way out.

Pacers are awesome, and thanks to all who are representing Ft. Worth Running Co!

Helmo, how exciting re: your first full mary!

This will be my second full, and training has gone pretty well, so hoping to put a bit more pressure on pace this time.  But, *&^%, I seem to have picked up a cold...only one I've had this winter.  Should be OK so long as it doesn't turn into more.  Crossing fingers, eating zinc, drinking Airborne, etc.

What is your target time? Or have you planned a Pace?

I'm sure we can get you hooked up with a good option.

OOOPS just read your 6 Hr goal

You could use the 2:30-2:40 Pacer for the first 10 miles...

last track session this morning. Feeling good! Sickness gone. Achillies feels good.

In fact, I put up the fastest 400M time that I have hit in a while. Now if I can just string together 104 more, I will be good.

Good luck to all!

Yep, I'll be there for the half-marathon.  (That 5-year medal marketing plan really worked, didn't it?)

Decent run last weekend, so I'm feeling better about finishing.  However, no way I'll be anywhere close to last year's PR.

It will be "THIS YEARS" PR just a matter of perspective.

Anyone else north of TX affected by this winter storm? Kansas is getting dumped with at least 6 inches of snow as I speak, probably a foot in the KC area where my run buddy is coming from.

Hopefully south of Kansas is not getting hammered and it all melts off in the next 2 days! I'm more worried about getting there than the weather on race day at this point

I've got in-laws just NE of Wichita.  Been making fun of their Facebook rants about the weather Laughing.

Looks like NE Kansas is getting hammered more tonight.  I hope y'all can make it through!!  Rain just ended here and the sun is out.  Still looking at 71*F for a high and 40*F for a low on Sunday, 17 mph winds though.

Yep I'm in Wichita - we got about a foot (more) overnight. I'm snowed in, literally!
Can't wait for a high of 71 Cool

Looking slim we'll make it now. 14.2 inches of snow is the official total (right now). Everything will ice up overnight, possibly a little more snow. Not going to warm up to help melt off, either. I literally can't make it out of my driveway and even if I did, it's being described as "off roading" out there.

I'll be disappointed if we don't make it, but safety first
