I liked the Samsung spot with Seth Rogan and Paul Rudd.

And, more importantly, Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad. Better call Saul!

The Cocoa Cola security camera commercial was kind of neat.  My vote for best goes to Ram though (with Calvin Klein a close second).

Edited to add that I'm not sure if that should be in sarc font or not....

It was campy but it made me laugh out loud.  The Sketcher Run commercial when the guy caught the cheata and hog tied it with it's own tail.

What.. are you guys kidding me.... Go Daddy with Bar Rafaeli laying one of the hottest kisses ever on "Walter"... that was AWESOME!!!

Farmer commercial was good, and Audi. I was hoping "Little Darth Vader" would be back.

I laughed out loud at the Dorito's goat
I cried at the Clydesdale
I was uncomfortable during the GoDaddy kiss
I said "that was too long and dramatic for the super bowl" after Paul Harvey

jford2309 - 2013-02-04 10:22 AM Leon Sandcastle was great!

YES!  Thank you for reminding me about this one.  All day I knew I was forgetting one of my faves.  Leon Sandcastle!  Awesome.

I also liked both of the Doritos ads, the goat one and the play dress-up one.

Loved the Oreos one with everyone whispering through the various calamities.

Bar Rafaeli is smokin' hot, but her godaddy commercial was nauseating.  I guess that was the company's intention?

Overall, the commercials were a bit of a let-down.  Perhaps if I found Amy Poehler the least bit funny I could have enjoyed her commercial...nah, even then it was lame.

(btw, every lady where I work loved the Budweiser horse ad...if that ad's target was ladies, they hit the target demographic right on the nose)

My ranking:

1) Dodge- I was expecting "this is Paul Harvey...Good Day!"  But that was the best ad of the day because they just took a speech from years ago, showed pictures of modern farmers doing farming stuff and that's it.

2) The Jeep one got me a bit choked-up.

3) The Rock Milk ad.

4) Deion Sanders was hilarious.

5) Samsung Seth Rogan was good.

6) The Bar Rafaelli one was really funny.

7) Taco Bell old people one was great.

8) Mercedes Willem Dafoe ad was funny.

IMO Losers were:

Pistachio Psy.  15 minutes is up.

Clydesdale one.  I like horses, but they did the same thing last year but with a dog didn't they?

Amy Poehler.  Tide Stain one. M&Ms. Very forgettable.

I forgot about the VW commercial.  What was your take on that one? (white guy talking like a Jamaican).

I prefer that the Paul Harvey piece would have just ended with the product and no tag line.

I did not like the "inner-farmer" line.

Trying to compare the average dude wanting to buy a pick-up to those being paid homage to in the commercial didn't sit well with me.

I liked the Taco Bell and the Clydesdale.

Most of the rest were a bust.

I would not have even notice the VW commercial if it wasn't for the faux-outrage prior to it airing.

scoobysdad - 2013-02-04 8:09 AM IMO, the only spot people will remember for long will be the Dodge Ram farmer spot. Gotta admit, it was good hearing Paul Harvey again, as my Mom would listen to him every day. And the photography for the spot was beautiful.

The only one I even heard or paid attention to. We were all cracking up watching my son hurdle over his stuffed animals but when we heard P.H.'s voice the whole room fell completely silent - including my son.

Of course of the crowd we were in 1 person used to farm, 1 person currently farms, and 1 person (my son) wants to farm .

I loved Paul Harvey so it was really special to hear him again.

The GoDaddy thing was just weird.  Did they really need to add the pig slop sound effects?

Did anyone see the Old Milwaukee commercial with Will Ferrell ? It only played in a few markets. That is how I picture life in Wisconsin.

I must be a softy, because I liked the Bud Clydesdale this year, the Dodge and the Jeep commercials.

I forgot about the Joe Montana stain commercial and the Ravens fan wife washing his jersey was pretty funny.
