this is uncomfortable......

Note to self.... If this Sept. challenge comes down to the octagon.... pick Sjroh (aka Stephen) as my fighting buddy..... don't pick Speedball  (his resume is filled with competitive eating championships)

speedball - 2006-09-11 11:51 PM

Hey Sickles - here is your fearless captain exiting the water in our tri this weekend. He is the one in baby blue with the skinny little arms.

Yes Stitch - he is single but he is not a poet like you.

Oh yeah........ Slugs Rule!

Did Stephen mean "martial" fighting like UFC in the Octogon or "marital" fighting like his wife throwing frying pans at him??

Listen ace.... your leader plagiarized his CHART off mine (he called me this morning telling me how cool my chart is).... Plus my chart is a smart chart...  click on it and you will find out.... your leaders chart.... not so smart..... does your leader have all of your logs on a RSS reader???? (Speedballs, do you know what a RSS reader is???? I didn't think so)

oh my!!!!! we are at 41.48%..... what is that?????..... Nanner slugs.... 27.13%

If you need me I will be over at the Wombats thread talken smack

late.....

Eric,
Oh so you are correct about the total percents completed.  However, IF you had checked deeper, something very difficult for a Pickle to do I realize.  You would notice that the Mighty Banana Slugs didn't sandbag, like so many of the teams.

So we are at 27.13% verses your (cough, cough) 41.48%, lets put some REAL numbers to that.  The Silly Dillies have a whopping 944 miles under their bumps.  Whooo an impressive number.  While the Banana Slugs have only.......1399 miles collectively.  (Yeah I know we have ONE person with minutes not miles...but that is beside the point.)  The last time I checked, 1399 was LARGER than 944, but I am sure that escaped your pickled mind.  So while your number may SOUND impressive, I don't think the hot dog pickles can relish their lead for long.

Don't come gunning for the 1st place team when your in last..... go after some low hanging fruit like those Bat people

shawn barr - 2006-09-13 2:02 PM

I hate the trainer
I hate the trainer
I hate the trainer
I hate the trainer

Nonetheless....45 minutes on it for the Slugs today :-)

Take that you Pickle (heads)!!

Hey why look at the "low hanging fruit"?  We aint aiming for the EASY stuff, if we wanted easy we would not have set our goals so high!  You take on the hard stuff, sure you guys are at 42% in total, and when your folks hit their 100%'s they are done, extra miles don't roll over to team mates.

But Team Banana Slug is going to make 100%, so we didn't hit it on the 15th of the month.  So we hit it on the 30th, it just means we set lofty goals and achived them.  We got the fruit at the TOP of the tree, not the crummy low hanging stuff.

Sure we'll get the "Bat people" but they will just be carnage on the way up.

Look out Pickles, you are going to be RELISH once we grind you up!

Friday, 3000 meter swim (know this does not count for the challenge but I have to fit it in)

Saturday, 5k race in am, 30 mile bike in pm

Sunday, 9 mile run

ps: My wife is mad at me so I might have to do some additional bike miles on Sunday to get out of the house.  Marital spats are a great training motivator for me.

Ott, you are kicking butt!

I plan on:

Friday: 4-5 mile run
Sat: 40+ on the bike
Sun: 10 mile run

If it happens, it will be a serious downhill fight the rest of the way. Then I will have to put the rest of the pickles on my back, b/c we can't lose this fight!!

Go Pickles!
