Notice that the challenge has changed from Dec 4-31 to Dec 1-31. If you want to make any last minute changes please post them here by the end of tomorrow (if possible I am easy to get along with). Have seen snow where you live at some point in your life. (Most midwesterners see it at least once per year but we acknowledge our southern brethren sometimes have easy winters) There. I know that there are other Ohio people here, so I figured I'd just tag along too. I am just getting back in the pool after a 3 month lay off due to shoulder issues. But I am cleared to start back on Mon. of next week. And I have a long course Tri in May as my first event. So I have to get my butt in gear and I know this will keep me at it. My goal for the Challenge is 12,000 yds. Hope I'm not too late, Chris |

I am already 1/8 th done and 30 days to go. But at this pace i would have 75000yds in the end and I hear no one beats the Whizz!! Knee butt and all!!! So I don't want to step over her boundaries, and there is no way I could be in the pool everyday. I have a goal of 400 minutes this month - it equals last months total but I have to do it without the aid of 9 days off of work. I would put down a distance, but I really should focus on drills this month. Although in the back of my mind, 15000 would be nice to hit 100k for the year. |

If I wouldn't have been snowed in on Friday, I'd be 3500 ahead...

After 3 months out of the water due to shoulder injury it felt good to be back. Slow but good. I did 1200 yds in 33:22...not a great time. I did feel really slow but at least I'm not in pain and even now it feel OK, a little tired but OK. So way to go all of you swimming maniacs. Chris |
