Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I have to bow out of the challenge, or at least the swim part. After my bike crash I am not allowed to swim for at least the first two weeks, and maybe the whole month, secondary to my wrist injury. I can still ride with my wrist in the splint but no swim for me. I am hoping to ride 300 miles this month (most since 1995) but I understand if I cannot participate in the official challenge secondary to not being able to swim. What do you think, Donto, should I just cheer from the sidelines and shoot for 300 miles on the bike or be the non-USA team "Gimp" and just log the bike miles? Veteran![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I need something to get me back in training. and out of my apartment so count me in for 100 miles on the bike 12 hours in the water. I'm based it on time due to mixing open water swims and pool swims. My team will be Rest of world if one is form.

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Sorry, but I'm going to have to back out of this challenge. Too many critical family things going on and I just don't know if I'll be able to get out. Good luck everyone! |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm in... Put me in for Bike 120 Mi Swim 12000 M I'm on the East Coast, but I mentally identify with the Central time zone, so you can put me in the midwest if it helps even out the teams. ![]() Kristen (edited...I guess 1200m would be way easier than 12000m) Edited by enders_shadow 2007-09-03 7:27 PM |

Member ![]() ![]() | ![]() I need to greatly scale back my goals for this month. I will be purchasing a house at some point this month, and with all the packing, looking at houses, and other time sensitive stuff involved, I don't think there is any way I will be able to come close to what I had origionally planned. So, here are my updated numbers, for Team Central: Swim: 7100 Yards Bike: 6 Hours |

For some reason I cannot see graphs of what you have been doing so far this year. Explain to me your goals for the month as I see you have 2 tris's this month, not sure if you have taper plans or not... |

So, here are my updated numbers, for Team Central: Swim: 7100 Yards Bike: 6 Hours Empty, I think you need to re-examine your goals! Training should be taking precedense over a house! You can even do some bike training on Sundays while you are hitting all the Open Houses, if you look at only houses with pools, insist on trying out the pool and you can get some mileage in at the same time! Just some thoughts! |

Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Hey all September Challengers! First welcome to the challenge. If your new to these they are lot's of fun and help keep up the motivation. 2nd, with the long weekend I'm swamped today at work. Looks like tomorrow too but I will be working on the team list tonight if I'm still here, if not then tomorrow AM after my swim! 3rd, in the meantime keep up your training. It's almost impossible to catch-up at the end what you should be doing now! Training related: Yesterday I did ~1270 yards around islands in the Indian River Lagon and today I was chased by a dog on my bike. Good thing I had the tri-bike out and not the MTB because this beast was snapping at me at 20mph, I peaked at 28mph on my getaway! |

Buck And you think I have a warped mind? I was thinking more like breaking your previous record by a couple of miles. And I define "couple" as like five or ten. But your goal is much more ambitious. Good for you! ![]() This is my first challenge, and I'm glad it's swimming/biking. My swimming is much better than my biking. And my biking is way better than my running. And since I'm using a stationary bike 'cause that's all I have so far, you can guess at just how bad my running is.... Put it this way, if this was a running challenge, I'd have to ask if walking counted! ![]() Dee |
