Tink - 2007-09-18 3:32 PM Hey - how come you get to be the point giver-outer?! All right - we must get Tim (newleaf) in on this because it is growing fast and we'll definitely need another place in Reston. Come on Restoners...speak up!

I do not live in Reston.

docswim24 - 2007-09-18 2:57 PM I am in and yes we were enjoying after workout beverages when this was discussed. There are some other 20's, early 30's that should be in as well! Of course all ages are welcome/encouraged!

Yeah - some of us will be the old-age of 31 on the 26th!

As of today I am still 30 unlike some people.

But you're somewhere out in the boonies

I live in Falls Church near Tysons. Not the boonies. So too far from Reston to be of service, sadly. And I think my roommates would totally freak out if a bunch of strange, drunken, costumed cyclists that I only know from the internet showed up at the townhouse...our dog would go nuts, though.

oh well.  I guess I am out.  For I am 36.  Far too old to keep up with you young whippersnappers.  Hopefully, to quote a previous poster from this thread, there will be a group ride for us "older folks."

We will probably do the Old Folks' Ride earlier though, so afterwards we can go somewhere and get the "Early Bird Special" for dinner.

Hey... we're not all strange.

I don't live in the boonies... I live in suburbia personified.

"Strange" as in I've never met any of you in person. Though I constantly debate the other meaning of "strange" when it applies to this board

Sorry for the location flub, Tim. Is it Steve who's in Reston? I lose track.

And, hey Doc - ahem...problem with 31??? Hmm? Unlike some people?...tisk tisk tisk.

Michelle & I were just talking about how age is no secret for triathletes! I'll be darned if I write mine on the back of my calf for this ride, though - would totally clash with the costume!

I am so glad to see how this has so quickly grown. I know ALL of us of ALL ages and ALL locations will have a BLAST! (or, get blasted...something like that)

Oh your 31 as well? I had NO idea. So I actually got to take a shot at two of my favorite people at once. No idea...

Tim will be just fine hanging on the bike and is the early favorite for best costume.

Edited to add:  I am old but I can keep up with the margaritas... oh wait... you meant keep up on the bike.  Yeah, whatever, that too.

Hey, I'm 47 and can hang with a good portion of this group - age don't mean jack.  No clue about a costume yet, but that's half the fun!

Will we be practicing Safety First? The darkness, the costumes, the alcohol, the lights . . . it all has me very nervous. Seriously. I worry about this stuff .

I'm glad that TNT2TRI will be there so I won't be the oldest, just second oldest.  I live about 2 miles from the restaurant but not in Reston.  This sounds like a lot of fun.
