jrcody - 2008-11-11 9:31 PM I am in CO and it is way cold; I know how you feel!!

My east coast cold can beat up your CO cold anytime.  On chilly days here, I remember fondly the 'cold' days in CO.   Or even worse, the 'cold' days in CA, now those were the days.

Can't feel my fingers or toes...went for a ride....too cold to type!

You are hardcore! I haven't been on my bike outside in too long, I'm such a wuss when it comes to biking in the cold. To make matters worse, I'm in Texas, it's not even really cold here...

Hee, hee...I can't bare the cold either and I'm in NC. I should be able to handle it...afterall I am Canadian. I think my blood has thinned. I opt for the trainer at this time of year.

I got about a 45 min hill run into tonight downtown with a friend!

Did you all watch Biggest Loser? All I have to say it 'wow'...but I won't say anything else b/c I don't want to spoil it for our West Coast Friends!

Hey team - I haven't done anything yet today but I will get in some peach by walking the dog in a little while!

These peaches are addictive, I love how its making me get out there and move, even on a rest day

I have to admit my blood has thinned. I am back in Alaska (we moved out of here in fall 2006) and I have lost a lot. I never got used to it up here but goodness. Today it warmed up in the low 30's and is snowing. Blah... it is slicker than snot out there - can I go home to Oklahoma now... Please...

Oh 1 mile run (walk to make 15 min) and 32 min on the elliptical (all inside)

Can you use the words "warmed up" and "low 30's" in the same sentence? Hee, hee! Just kidding. Make sure you bundle up if you are heading outside!

I woke up with a sore throat this morning. I feel a cold coming on!
Rode the trainer for 30 mins. That's all I am doing today...tonight is our night out. with our friends...$1 taco's!

Yikes, I have been slacking. I missed 3 days in a row last week, just too painful to move. Then this week got 3 peaches in a row so far. But this morning my foot is swollen again, so I should keep it up. I will do something, if only yoga, this afternoon. Somehow it seems wrong to go to the gym, when I still cannot go back to work yet. What is someone sees me? Also, I finally updated my part of the spreadsheet.

I may not be all peach this November, but I can be "as peachy as possible" from now on.

Great job everyone!

Hi all! I'm finally thawed out from my ride yesterday...for those who asked it was 28 degrees with a 31 mph wind and I rode for 77 long agonizing minutes!!! Crazy, I know.

Today I took it easy and just did some hill running for my peach! Keep up the good work everyone!

15 min row (2900m), 15min on indoor bike, 10 min stretching. I think I need a winter maintenance plan. I have exercise-ADD right now without one.

Take some Airborne before you get sick! I know there's no clinical evidence that it works, but I tried it because all my nurse friends swear by it and I'll tell you what, I am sold. I take it at the first sign of any sickness and so far nothing has progressed on me even when others around me get really sick.

I agree with all the others, warmed up and low 30s just do not belong together. Unless maybe if we're talking celsius...

You can do tabata protocols in anything -- it calls for a 5 min warmup and cool down with x number (I think 5) of 2:1 cycles.  I sprinted 20" and recovered for 10", 5 times.  Did the same thing on the trainer the day before.  If you google it you'll get the history and science behind it.  I like that it clears out my lungs -- I swam so much better after my run yesterday!  And it's quick.

Going to the gym would be rehabilitation, wouldn't it. It's so you'll be in better shape when you can return to work! Surely?!
