Colorado Relay is tomorrow.  Wish me luck and I'll try to post my runs in my log as I complete them (after I throw up of course).  I live to race so this should be FUN!  painful but FUN!

Weigh yourself before you puke.  Oh, and have a blast and don't die or hurt yourself.

Friday! Finally!

Weight's headed in the right direction... of course, the trick is always to sustain the loss over the weekend.  And this weekend?  I'm headed out to a BrewFest where they'll have a bunch of breweries there giving out 2oz samples.  I'm going to TRY and behave....

I only measure once a month -- cuts down on frustration for me -- and I'm 2 weeks out from my next measurement.  I'll say, though - I'm curious to see where I'm at.

So, does anyone use any kind of supplements of any sort?  I just read an article that recommended fish oil, multi-vitamin, protein powder (if not getting enough protein through other sources), and a greens supplement.

Other than a multi-vitamin, I don't really use any of the other stuff...

Congrats!  I take a multivitamin and when I remember calcium supplements.  I use flax oil in my smoothies.  Also I use protein powder in smoothies, pancakes and some other recipes.  I've heard good things about Greens but haven't tried it.  I might at some point.  When I was tracking my food intake on this one website it always said I was short on iron, potassium and some other stuff so I'm curious about it all but not enough to get off my butt and so something about it.

I quit taking the multivitamins, but I do take a calcium daily since my asthma meds and thyroid issues predispose me to osteoporosis.  I am a firm believer in getting your nutrients from a balanced plate of real food.

They should have an "Ultimate Weight Shopper" contest.  Actually, in retrospect, that might be a recipe for disaster.

I hope all our East coasters are OK, and not in evacuation areas. Stay safe everyone

Cameron- Hope you're having an awesome time!

Supplements- I try to make a green drink every day and take Krill Oil, MSM, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and SamE. I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis a few years ago, so take most of them for my joints. I'm trying to avoid medications for as long as possible...

We are without power. From the newspaper article I read today it could be several days until we get it back. I ran through the neighborhood and saw lots of downed but no major damage . Could have been a lot worse.
