As a [hopeful] monday morning online registrant, had to check in. WOW what a day.

I so wish someone would lie down in that puddle and take a few strokes!

Anyone confirm that active.com says 9:00 PACIFIC is the online registration? That seems like a pretty late time considering this is an east coast race?

Well first they open the on-site registration and then the online (if there are any spots left).  You should know that the registration has been known to open a few minutes ahead of schedule.

They were adjusting the video to rocket-launcher mode for people with giant heads who stand in front of it.

You would think that the volunteers know that they are in the way of the camera.  I mean, how could you NOT know something like that?  Those cameras aren't small- they are pretty obvious.

Lots of people wearing jackets across the finish line. Smart move in packing those transition and SN bags given the weather!

Could someone look into the idea that if each person from BT gave $1 we could pay for a better cameraman for these events?

My vote is small crane.

Or a volunteer who's job it is to be the "bouncer" for the camera view.

I don't know if it's the cameraman or the people standing in front of it?

They should at least zoom out enough for us to see the time too!

I don't think there is a cameraman. I think it's just a camera on a tripod sitting there. That's what I could (fuzzily) remember at IMAZ.

Here's my question- why don't the volunteers stand on the other side (right side) to catch them?  That way they won't have to keep walking in front of the camera when athletes finish to catch them.  It just makes sense to have them waiting on the other side ya know?

Runnergirl-I was thinking the same thing earlier! We should send in a list of suggestions for the finish line area! Better lighting would be nice!

Sending warm thoughts and positive energy to the rest of the crew still on the course!
