I am going to a college basketball game that tips off at MIDNIGHT tonight (by the way, it's my team that made it the FINAL FOUR last season - woot)! Just as I was wondering how I'm going to stay awake I read a tweet that said they are handing out free Rockstar energy drinks to everyone at the door. HAHA!! BRILLIANT. so they must be part of ESPN's 24 hours of basketball - there are some decent matchups considering it's still only November and there are games NONSTOP ALL DAY. mr meh and i might be camping out at BWW's to catch a whole bunch of the primetime games. WHEE! Yup yup! I believe we are also hanging our Final Four banner in the arena tonight. I will cry, that is almost a given. We are thinking about hitting up BWW before the game - haven't been there in years! Sounds like a great way to start the week |

But I didn't think it was that observed that schools would be out. I'll have to ask the parents in the office. But Vegas roads looked like a ghost town this morning. |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() OK, weird. I woke up an my polar watch had a completely wrong time and date on it. BUT, the user info was right as well as all my workout history which sort of rules out a hard "reset" that might have happened. It's a mystery how that happened. |

BAH HUMBUG And here is the thing, I will hear people talking about how sad it is that we are opening that early on Thanksgiving!!! I want to tell them "hey if you weren't in line 3 hours early, we wouldn't be open!" |

Part of the Black Friday "fun" was getting up at 2am, slamming caffeine, getting in line, people watching, etc. Now...with everyone opening on Thanksgiving (and some opening a 6p) it's taking the fun out of it.... Hearing rumors too that Best Buy is "very" close to the Target opening. My LP friend for BB said he "can't publicly say" but "close to Targets opening time" |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() WWTAND? Over the last several years, mostly due to the wife reaching out, been reconnecting with my bio father and his wife. He is very by the book, ex military guy. Well, the wife, ever trying to please, said she was going to be in the area this weekend and asked if she could swing by for a visit and stay the night. Well, her plans constantly change and she ended NOT going down there. She got a call from them in the morning confirming and the wife said it wasn't going to happen and said sorry and plans change. Thought everything was cool. Well, the wife gets a text from dad saying it's ok that she is not coming, but next time, provide more notice because they had made plans. I GET that. It's the courteous thing to do. But the wife never confirmed the plans, just said they were tentative. I feel bad. I'm sure they went out of there way making some kind of plans and the wife SHOULD have confirmed or called earlier. It's a pet peeve of mine as well, but I'm used the wife's crazy and uncertain schedule. She was in the wrong. This kind of stuff happens to us ALL THE TIME. People come to Vegas and want to hang out, but end up doing other things or being too hung over to meet up, etc. BUT, I'm not overly cool about the dad texting and basically scolding her for her manners. I mean, is that cool? She DID talk to his wife earlier that day. Do I say anything or since it's between them and my wife, let her handle it? She responded with another text saying sorry. I ALSO said he is not the kind of guy you do that to though. If you make plans, you stick to it. You don't be late and you stick to your word. That being said, I told the wife NEVER tentatively set anything up with them. She has to be certain. But to ME, this is something you grump about with your wife about being "stood up". If it happens again, then say something. I'm not going to dress down someone for ONE changed event. I'm not sure WHO to be upset about. BUT, I won't do anything. It's really not my battle.

Or when they grab a box of something and rip it because they saw it first. Haven't been to one in many, many years, but I have also heard of people stealing them out of others carts. It happened to my wife once. I try not to shop at all and if at all possible not ship anything either. :-) UPS and USPS are terrible starting the first week of December. |

Just let it go, man. Nothing you can do and calling your bio-dad won't solve anything. Just tell T in the future not to make plans with them. |

![]() | ![]() Guys I just got my health assessment and flu shot at work. I told my co-workers they better appreciate my sacrifice for the team as I've never had a flu shot before (maybe as a kid? Never as an adult) and ONLY got one to get the points for our team. The more participation points we get as an organization the more % we will get deducted from our health insurance premiums. Hilariously, they gave me a sucker as I walked out... and a tooth brush LOL |
