Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Kamikaze Geckos Rode the battlefield loop x2 tonight. Had a few minutes left to finish the plan and was trying to lightly spin to cool down. Wanted to avoid the butt kicking hill that starts the course and was turning around at the start of it when I went down--no damage but a good bruise on the elbow,. The same one I cut up when I fell a few weeks ago (that fall was walking) .....I finished the ride anyway. Lots of other bikers out there tonight. I couldn't believe the speed 2 guys had on that loop and they were holding the pace for at least 2 laps and riding pace line....sigh, I am so not there. |

Maybe you should look for another route. SOunds like it might be safer. !
Glad it was only your elbow and your pride that was bruised!

Glad it was only your elbow and your pride that was bruised! Ha! I think it was trying to humble me for thinking I had gained any bike fitness lately. Seriously, that course always challenges me but tonight I felt like a child in training wheels out there. I can't describe the loop, probably better to look at the map and elevations since I have it in the route tracker...even then some of it just needs a first hand experience to describe.

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Kamikaze Geckos Today is June 19th, and the month is now 64% finished. Are YOU achieving your goals???? Well, here's a little EXTRA INCENTIVE FOR YOU..... You may now achieve 110% of your individual goals! For example: Your swim goal may now reach 110% Your run goal may now reach 110% Your bike goal may now reach 110% Your "other" goal may now reach 110% What does this mean? - If you want to give yourself an extra push and challenge yourself this month --> GO FOR IT! - If you have a teammate who is lagging --> Here's your chance to HELP YOUR TEAM! Each individual goal will be capped at 110%. (In other words, you can't do 125% of a goal.) This means that you could, conceivably, reach a "super achiever" 110% total. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and do some training! - Dee Edited by D001 2008-06-19 10:12 AM |

Lest anyone think me a sandbagger, I do leave on vacation next Thursday. I'll have to have most of my month done by then, cause I'll be going bankrupt with gas prices driving for 2.5 days! GO TEAM!!

Master 1567 Kauai, Hawaii | Subject: RE: Kamikaze Geckos Should be on track, maybe a little over... what happens if you go over on the other disciplines and don't quite finish one? I ask because I can only ocean swim right now, due to pools being closed, I love ocean swimming but sometimes I get a little freaked out and I am by myself... more on that in my log. |

Each activity is considered separately. For example, say "Janie" has this at the end of the month: Swim 105% Bike 95% Run 100% The overall average comes out to 100%. So the highest you could get in any one activity is 110%. Which means if you hit 110% in ALL areas, you'd get that coveted 110% overall average. |

It is more fun when I ride with someone ....so glad Jen is on a similar training plan and lives close enough that we get to do that once in a while |

I got in a bike and a little swim this morning...and now I'm headed to the beach for the weekend. (I'm ahead right now, so it shouldn't hurt us for this week's update.) Have a fantastic weekend! |
