So i've got aquestion for you guys...I've got a NEW used bike(2005 Cervelo p2). Which looks totally cool by the way. As a Newbie, I'm sure people will look at me and think I'm a ringer.Wait til they see me fall over 'cause I can't clip out!@@! Anyhow, When i get on that baby in the basement, and go down on the Aero's, it is very uncomfortable. Maybe only the gentlemen can help me out on this, if you know what i mean. I have a pretty padded seat, and i pulled off the Cervelo seat which was a brick, and put on my specialized. My seat isn't to high,'cause if i lowered it, my leg length would be too short. Thoughts??

Take the bike to a bike shop and have it fitted properly. That way you will not only have a professional overview the bike but they can tell you if it is actually the right size adn fit for you. There is much more to the bike fit than the leg length.

Suzy. Very nice looking bike. You will look great great on it. Besides at the speed you will be going after getting the trainer all anyone will see is a blur. Everyone will be saying "I didn't see it go by but I know it had to be Suzy on her new bike."

Nice looking ride.

Looks are very important on the bike : )

On the seat issue, if you have had your bike fit correctly and still have issues, try an Adamo Road or Race saddle.  I have one, very popular on this and other Tri forums.

You can usually find them on E-Bay people seem to love em or hate-em.  What they love is the comfort for certain parts, what they don't like is that to make room for certain parts the nose is a bit wider which chafe's some peoples legs.

You guys are great!   I'm ordering the remedious red and cue ball white, saving $815 and putting it towards a Computrainer.  In the meantime, I'll bike more so I can feel speedy on my new bike when it arrives in March!

Have a great night.

IMO on the membership thing..... It does add very nice additional features to your already exsisting FREE MEMBERSHIP, but the way I look at it...... It's a great site, it's free, it has done a lot of good for me over the year.... Even if I don't USE the membership...It is still worth it!  I guess you could say it is my way of donating?!

Hope everything runs smooth...keep us updated.

I went to the pool today to get some technique instruction from our masters coach, but it didn't work out.  The group today was doing a power workout and he thought I should do it although I swam workout last night.

800 yard warmup with swim, fins and pulls.

1st station ... 6 reps on 1min. Hooked up to the weight rack and swim 15 yards while pulling 30 pounds up the rack.

2nd station...6 reps on 1 min.  25yd swim with 10# weight.  Even face down, odd face up

3rd station...4 reps on 1.5  50 yd all out sprint.

Actually alot of fun but the hardest swim workout  to date.  Had good intentions to bike this afternoon, but the legs are spent.  Maybe a couple of adult beverages earned today!

IMO it is worth it.  The workouts are detailed. Free workouts just say swim 45 mins or something like that.  The ones bronze and above come with detailed information about what to do each day.

You also get to really modify your plans, upload from a garmin if you have one and some other features.

Congratulaitons and here's hoping everything goes as smooth as silk.

I had a strange day today. It started out by having to jump out of bewd and 6:30 as my wife's car wouldn't start. Had to jump start it from my truck. (-35 with the wind chill) Told her to take the truck to work and I would get the car fixed. I thought a battery was needed. Anyway I had let the car run for a while before turning it off but when I went back out to go for my swim workout it wouldn't start again. It was a cold walk to the pool today. Got back called to auto assoc and got the car started and took it took a garage. 2 1/2 hours and $600 later I got the car back. At least I was close to a bar/restaraunt so I was able to go do some Canadian carb loading (beer) while I was waiting. Came home, barbequed some steaks had a alss of wine and now I'm here.
Didn't get a whole lot done but that was OK.

Anywho everyone have a great weekend.
