Boo...

Nothing today.  2nd time running this month yesterday...OUTSIDE!  Felt great.  34 degrees.  Sun shining.  Good company.  Knee felt fine...(until I started upping the resistance on the stationary...inside...)...

Cole just puked all over his room.  From his top bunk.  Ick.  I'm taking a break cleaning it up.  I have the sheets going, the floor scooped up and the walls wiped down.  I still have to wash the floor, bed frame and put new bedding on.  I hate puke.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I'd have gone in there with a mask that filtered out ALL fumes and germs, armed with a bucket of bleach, etc.

Actually, I wouldn't have gone in there at all....

Music fans who spend hours selecting their perfect jogging playlist now face a new dilemma. What track to listen to as you Taser someone?

A combined stun gun-MP3 player may well be the most bizarre gadget to be unveiled at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

The device - formally known as the Taser Music Player Holster - has already earned the nickname the iTaser.

Morning team! Crabby Monday for me...feel sorry for my members! I am really tired of all the snow! I just want spring to get here! It felt so good to run outside last week!  Very busy day today, teach track and field to the little ones, then practice body vive, teach water aerobics at 1, will swim laps after, come home to get dinner ready(cooked in the slow cooker) then back to teach vive, and 2 water classes! Have a great day all!

I'll add to the puke stories... my 12-year-old is puking today.  This is my daughter that has cerebral palsy.  These stomach bugs really hit her hard.  She's non-verbal, so we can't always tell when she feels yucky.  But there's no mistaking it when the bed & floor are all pukey.  BLLLEECCCHHHH!  Anyway, it's going to be a long day for my wife at home.  I think I'll pick up dinner from our favorite italian restuarant on the way home tonight.

I got in ZEEEERO workouts this weekend.  I planned on doing a 1 hr drainer ride followed by 1/2 hr on the dreadmill yesterday, but I was a little hungover from our first adults night out in forever.  But it was worth it!  I'll hit the gym for a 5-6 mile run at lunch.  Go Hugs.

Can you believe that we're into the last week of February?

The week 3 standings:

Hearts: 72.5%
Kisses: 72.1%
Hugs: 68.1%

The competition has really tightened up and the final place at the top of the podium is still up for grabs. Keep up the great work!

I feel your pain... I have a 20 mile "date" tonight with my husband and our trainers... I figure I need to do 10 trainer miles A DAY until the end of the month to make my goal. Not impossible, since I have lots of 24 stacked up to watch...

We can do it!!!

Awww heck.  Liam has strep and possible scarlet fever and I have to take Cole in to the doctor later today.  The school nurse called while I was in the waiting room with Liam saying he had a nasty looking throat.  Talking with the doctor about Cole's symptoms and the doctor said to bring him in ASAP.  There is something about this time of year that does not agree with my kids.  Cole is sick almost every year this time.  His birthday is Sunday and since his first birthday, he's been sick just about every year.  Very weird.

Things just seem to keep getting worse.  Hopefully after all the doctors visits today things will start to turn around and everyone will be back to normal by the end of the week.  Then maybe you can have a Girls Night Out to help you recuperate. It sounds like you really deserve it.

Scarlet fever? I didn't think kids got that anymore..... Hm. Wikipedia, here I come....

"Scarlet fever is a disease caused by exotoxin released by Streptococcus pyogenes. The term scarlatina may be used interchangeably with scarlet fever, though it is commonly used to indicate the less acute form of scarlet fever that is often seen since the beginning of the twentieth century....

"Other than the occurrence of the diarrhea, the treatment and course of scarlet fever are no different from those of any strep throat. In case of penicillin allergy, clindamycin or erythromycin can be used with success. Patients should no longer be infectious after taking antibiotics for 24 hours. Persons who have been exposed to scarlet fever should be watched carefully for a full week for symptoms, especially if aged 3 to young adult."
