Expert 1255 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Consistency Equals Success - CLOSED Originally posted by Sillygal Speed work runday! 2 mile warm up followed by 4 at tempo. So I tried out Jackie's suggestion to start out slower and increase. I just wasn't sure what I could hold and I wanted to practice going a little faster for each mile. So I did 1 mile at 9:50, 1 at 9:40, and 1 at 9:30 and 1 at 9 finishing at 8:45 for the last little bit just because I could. I heard Dennis post, start uncomfortable and stay there like a mantra over and over in my head. It was uncomfortable for me but I also set a new Beth Land Treadmill record! Thanks guys! That is so awesome! I love it when I can make a suggestion and someone really takes it and benefits from it. Made my day. |

Expert 1255 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Consistency Equals Success - CLOSED Arm position change: My arms were straight so I was pulling like this "I" instead of "--". I bent my arms more. Good news: I finally got to personally meet Brandon Grover who was in this forum a couple of seasons ago. Bad news: My contract in Tallahassee is ending in 30 days. So, I'm looking for my next consulting gig. If anyone knows of anyone that needs a great business analyst or project manager with technical skills, let me know. Prefer FL or TX, but open to other locations for the right opportunity (especially Australia and Guatemala). Swimming again today. Expect some days where you will ask yourself why and how and will be pleasantly surprised while on other days you will be cold cocked.
