Went to the pool for the 1st time this morning all month...Wowser it was slow. Hard to stay motivated when you have really nothing on the calendar other than a 1/2 mary in the fall. I think I need to get the bride on board for Lonestar soon. I'll tell her 'll get fat in the winter if I dont sign up.
So for those of you going to Lonestar, you all doing the 1/2??

We are heading out for the weekend in about an hour, so have good races you crazy SWBKRUN kiddos!!

Still not sure if I will be there, but more than likely the Olympic.  I was even considering doing the Sprint the day before.....you?

Chris, nice run in the rain.  I really enjoy a run in the rain.  In fact, I hope the rain moves in around noon today for my run.

I finally watched the swim video from Suzy.  All I could think about was Coach Bob Bowman.  Our high school baseball coach is Bob Bowman.  I can't find a picture online, but he goes about 400 pounds.

I hear ya about the pool.  I have one more sprint left this year but it is not my focus so it better be wetsuit legal!

Lonestar - Tony and I are both doing the 1/2.

Looking at Cyclocross stuff right now to try and get back into cycling shape for Lonestar or at least improve bike skills.  :-)

Awesome - Nice bike too.  Congrats on that score!!

Chris.... Awesome job on the run.  When you are doing your 1/2 Ironman in a couple weeks you will remember this workout!  When times are tough think about what you have gone through to get there!  Way to go!

I'm with you both.  No more tri's planned - just the half-mary.  And the city pool is closed now so the pool option is now 5am at the high school. 
5am!!!  The only reason 5am exists is so I can know what time I get up to pee.

Heading to our house in Minocqua where Internet access is sporadic to non existent now that our contractors ran over our satellite.  To those racing, be strong and smile big at the finish line (don't look at your watch!!).  To everyone else, enjoy the weekend!

For me, a run, a bike and a few OWS is on tap.  Also having dinner tonight with the brown drink crowd which always makes me think of Birdy and his J&Cs.

Hi group - I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Good luck to those racing.

Tony and I are heading to the Eastern Shore for a TT on Sat. then looking for some good Maryland crabs and beer for dinner.  B&B stay Sat. night and biking with the marine wildlife on Sunday before picking the kids up from the grandparents.

He's quiet today b/c he's playing in a golf tournament, sweating his a$s off and carrying his poor playing brother, business partner and friend.  As he put it this morning, he's the A, B, C player surrounded by 3 D's.  LOL

Trevor, you've spent too much time looking at my avatar.  Sorry but those are blond high lights in red hair.

So what are the plans for Lonestar?  Are we all renting a beach house together? Are you setting that up John?  I was planning on doing the olympic with the hubby b/c we want to do a half back home a few weeks afterwards.  Besides there has to be someone available to take the photos and cheer the group on right?

As far as this weekend goes I am suppose to do a 12 mile run and I must take the new bike for a spin.  However I realize Savageman is 4 weeks away and I have done ZERO hill repeats!  What am I saying, I've hardly been on my bike at all!  So maybe I'll have to shorten the time on the new bike and dedicate some hours to mountain climbing with my pink bomb!

from what i can tell, it looks like a  mixed bag as far as who is staying where.  a beach house would obviously be a lot of fun but i stayed at the hotel last year and it is incredibly convenient.

maybe we need another head count of who is thinking of staying where so we can look at some $$$ ####'s

i'd be more than happy to look around for some houses and send you guys links.  i think andy might have volunteered his wife to look around for houses as well. 

of course i'll do whatever you guy need me to do on this end. 

you and me sharing the same roof?  ha!  that's gonna be worth the price of admission alone.

now that i think about that...  you and my wife ganging up on poor me under the same roof.  man i might sleep on the deck.
