Man - the tapeworm is hungry today!  People at work are starting to worry.  All I've done today it eat.

Yeah, but.... Didja run too? (Or shall I break out the tasers?)

I could use a good zap.  It's been awhile.  I'm starting to go into taser withdrawl.  And no I haven't run yet.  Gonna have to wait until after work.  Nothing like a midnight treadmill run to help me dream sweet dreams.

SURPRISE!

It's a SURPRISE CHALLENGE UPDATE!

Yeah. Kind of like those Pop Quizzes that you hated while you were in school.

Why? Because I enjoy torturing you, keeping you all on your toes.

The CURRENT CHALLENGE STANDINGS are:
1st place - Show Us Your Ghoulies - 17.9%
2nd place - E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - 17.5%
3rd place - Crypt Keepers - 16.6%
4th place - Running Pumpkins - 12.6%

And in the SECONDARY (POST PADDING) CHALLENGE: (Because you KNOW there's always a secondary challenge!)
Well, what can I say?
It's Show us your Ghoulies by a landslide.

BUT it's only October 6th, so RUN RUN RUN (or I'll taser you).

From Challenge Central, this has been your Week 1 update.

- Dee

Well, the legs were pretty beat tonight, but managed to get in 7.5mi...walked alot of the hills though.

I'm not a baseball fan (I root for the Mets...need i say more?) but this Detroit-Minnesota game is pretty awesome.

KOM - 2009-10-06 5:01 PM Hola EVIL running ones! Put 3 miles in today.  the legs were a little tired from spin last night.  We did lots of one leg pedaling.  If I didn't take my walk breaks I might have finally been under 10 minute miles...but that is a big if.....and I think I needed them today.  Well faster next time....  What's for dindin??

Taco night here.  The kids actually ate them for the first time ever!  No leftovers.  It's a MIRACLE!!!  Now I am enjoying a Blue Moon.  I love life!

Kathy, we really should run together sometime, especially once Hyannis training starts!

MMMmmmm..... Beeeeerrrr......

Erica - have a told you lately that you have good taste in alky-hol adult only beverages....

Morning team! We are having monsoon weather here- pouring rain, thunder and gale force winds.  Kinda exciting ( will the roadway, bridge, basement flood??) but not the best for running.  I will either use the dreaded hamster wheel at the Y or move today's run to Friday.  Will see.....

Good morning team.

This is tough...just when I think I'm getting some distance ahead of pace, I look at the % of the month that's done, and I'm just barely there. I'm taking a couple days off to rest the weary legs, so I'm going to fall behind. I better nail my long run this weekend.

Good morning, evil team.

Only managed to get part of yesterday's run done. I had hoped for about 6 miles, ended up with less than 3. Lightening chased us back inside. It was my group run night, so even though inside had a treadmill I could use, I opted for tacos, chips, and beer instead.

Yes. I am a loser.

Another little run tonight when I get off the bike.

But, the big one's coming on Sunday. 12+ miles.

Yee-haw.

I think.

I went ahead and loaded my 40 mile goal for the month, sorry I an sooo late! I also posted my run from today, but it's not computing in the spreadsheet...

Maybe there is something Dee needs to do to make it work?!

Got in 7 miles this morning. Yuk. It was like running through warm pudding. It was a very uncomfortable and tiring run. But, it's done and now I can rest.

Hey team!  I got my 5 miles with speedwork done last night on the TM.  Popped a DVD in and had a pretty good run.  It's going to be a beautiful fall day here today so I'm going to try for a short run (probably just 2-3 miles) after work tonight.

Have a great day!

I really want to know...what's the point of going to work when you have nothing do do? Who made up that rule?

Yeesh.

I have no idea.  There are times when I would be better off working at home (need a printer or a different computer or something) and I have to stay in the lab because it's expected.  It annoys me.

I heart labs..

I always want to get all Dr. Frankenstein in them....  Or least Young Frankensteen.....

You'd enjoy the days I have to use liquid nitrogen for my experiments.
