Seriously, a great day for a run weather wise, very little traffic, got to let some friendly dogs, and ran the second fastest five miles of the last two years. All-in-all, a pretty terrific run. Also pulled the trigger and ordered all the materials for our new patio. All that digging and shifting dirt, rock, sand, and then laying paver blocks has got to could for some kind of strength training, right? I don’t want to tell my coach! He gets frustrated when I do these big projects. :D |

Today I’m back to work but just power-walked 3 miles with my roommate after it poured rain. Well it looks like Quebec announced no sporting events or festivals through the end of August so IM Mont Tremblant will probably be canceled or postponed, just waiting for the final, official word. Quebec has been especially hard hit and apparently has 50% of the COVID19 cases in Canada. Part of me says boo, part of me is relieved since I can’t swim and haven’t been on a bike for two weeks and training in general is out of whack. My friend I was going with has already canceled her hotel room. I haven’t pulled that trigger yet but likely will this week. It’s okay, I will make it a renewed base-building year and maybe the half iron I’ve done in the past over Labor Day weekend will still go and I could do that instead. DQ, great to hear from you!! Yay for the new patio project, Gretchen! |

Got some good training in with 45' on the trainer and a bunch of strength and core work on Saturday and 90' wandering around London on Zwift yesterday. Today's weather is awful - pouring rain and high winds. I was planning on a day off early this week so looks like today is the day. @Gretchen - yes patio work counts as strength training. Make sure you log it to aggravate your coach. @Jenn - bummer on IM MT, seems as if our endurance careers are going to skip a year. Hopefully you triathletes can get something in late summer or early Fall. @Sapph - nice work on the slow bike progression and sticking to rehab! |

How were the drivers???? lol! There were over 10K active users on Zwift at 10 AM EDT Sunday, about half of them on the London course (you can choose from three now). Nuts. I did run over a few pedestrians, in the spirit of London driving. And yes, you ride on the wrong (left) side of the road in the virtual world, too. |

Going to try for at least five tomorrow and the extras: core, arms, rehab etc.

I am not even comfortable hanging pictures...which is silly, b/c it seems like it should be pretty simple (although often a drill is required since under my drywall there is brick). |

I'm only going to PT every 2 weeks going forward although some of my scapular pain is back. Need to really get these exercises in. Did yoga sculpt with my roommate this morning (I focused more on the yoga than the sculpt, but got a little lifting in). |

I just ran to the “Rocky Steps” and ran them 4 or 5 times and back (around 3 miles or so). It was surreal, so empty. Going to stretch and do some core work here in the hotel room, then shower and nap before heading out. Stay healthy all! |
