Pro 4507 Simpsonville, SC | Subject: RE: Running with Scissors Yay for second place!! I won't know how much running is in store for me until tomorrow night. I did ride for 54 miles in the horrendous winds here in the South today. Felt like I was stationary or leaning heavily right most of the time. And to add insult to injury, the toilet was broken at my store stop |

Elite 3471 Evergreen, CO | Subject: RE: Running with Scissors Great job so far team scissors! All I did today was ski and drive. 3 hours to and from the mtns, 2 hours taking K back to CU. I'm really looking forward to a run tomorrow!! Got the results from my LT test and I will be doing more tempo and interval training, but as long as I can follow my training schedule it shouldn't affect my running time goal. More hill repeats Fewer lsd runs But it's supposed to make me faster :D |

Hey Allyssa, Sorry your weekend was soo hectic. Way to fit in those runs! Great for sanity and the waist line! Got in a good ride today with the DH...I was being the pacebooty! and boy are my legs paying the price now...was just a bit windy and the ride home the wind OBTW ...just noticed that the team spreadsheet is not correct...it should show me at 24 miles not 14 miles...not sure if this would help the team rankings...Sorry but I was busy this weekend and did not notice til now...and for some reason it will not let me input my numbers...maybe Dee is working on it. Will try again in the morning. |

Hey, I am doing well. Kicking around the idea of scrapping my training plan for the next 6 weeks and starting over with a little more effort. Maybe the increased challenge would shake the doldrums.
Susan, you doing Chilly Cheeks Saturday? I am thinking of going down to volunteer. |

Isn't winter supposed to be doldrums time? And you are doing great -- I'd be happy if I could run your race time. |

Master 1675 Suwanee, Ga. | Subject: RE: Running with Scissors I officially nominate myself as the “Running With Scissors Dumba$$ of the Week” I was going 7 yesterday and since I wasn’t starting at the trail head (paved former rail bed here in Atlanta) I figured I would get my landmarks from the BT Route Planner. Got the info and the cross street. Knowing that all the streets aren’t marked I counted that I needed the 3rd street past the golf course. Took off and remember thinking this was a looooooong run and as I reached the turnaround point the trail marker said I had done 4.2 instead of 3.5…WTF. Turn around and head back and after about a half mile I look up and there it is…..the frickin OVERPASS. I had run under the road on the outbound side. You can't tell over/under passes from cross streets on the dang map. Finished the run and my oldest DS is waiting at the truck from his bike ride and says “What took so long”…I explain and he says “8.4 miles…you ARE the MAN….your are a dumba$$...but you are still the man.”I accept my teams nomination for D.A. of the week…..but by golly I just did 8.4 and that is soooo cool. Don’t forget to wipe your keyboard off after the coffee spew…continue your work. Edited by Reno8 2008-02-11 8:02 AM |

Pro 4343 Olney, MD | Subject: RE: Running with Scissors Wow Reno, that's quite a run! Unplanned, but awesome! This morning it was 12 degrees with wind gusts up to 25mph; I did NOT run! I'll get out tomorrow when it's "warmed up" to 20 degrees. Instead of running I swam 300m sets: (slow, fast, normal) x2. My fast was a bit slower than last time, but my overall time was 1 second faster (woo hoo!). It's still oh so hard! Great job everyone on our week one efforts! Let's go run with scissors! Missed my 2 miles yesterday but will make them up today since I don't run again until tomorrow. Woke up this morning with body aches, sore throat etc. - hoping I can knock it again with some medicine tonight instead of getting the full blown crud my hubby has had for almost 3 weeks. Have a great Monday. Keep on running. |
