What is up with Wisconsin ?  No wonder Suzy doesn't work.

Ugh, how many times do I have to explain that I do work?  I have my own marketing business AND I have one client, my former full time employer who soaks up my time and has for over 12 years.  About 30 hours a week these days.  ok?

I don't wear my politics on my sleeve in the MG because I don't think it's wise.  Please do not believe all the bull$hit you read about Walker.  It is a crime the state is paying over $80Million, yes million for a recall and another election.  My perspective is if you don't like what he's doing vote him out in four years.  Someone needed to take the bull by the horns and balance the state budget.

copa2251 - 2012-04-12 5:48 AM I just read an interesting thing on an Australian tri website: smear KY jelly - a water based lubricant for sex - on to the pads on your HRM strap to avoid the annoying spikes etc you get at the beginning of a run, worth a try?!

LMAO!!!  Do you think someone in the MG doesn't know what KY jelly is?  Which one do use if you have the His and Hers?  Did they mention if Astroglide works as well? HAHAHAHAAAA!!!

Now I'm wondering why someone thought of using it on their HRM? and why that would be more handy than using plain old water?

How about the 'warming' version - just in case it's a cold race?  Speed up your 'warmup'!

Nah, it was mention of Ann Coulter in David's article that scared everyone off. Oops, I guess we're not supposed to talk politics. I'll take lube, then, for $100. Holy carp, who just typed that??? Is it too late to edit?

They do make something called emborcation which is a real warming product.  It's kind of like Icy-Hot without the Icy.  I used some for the first time at a race this year when it was a bit colder out.  It's an odd sensation your legs do get really warm.

The big thing is not to put on your chamois cream after your embrocation since it doesn't wash off easily, burning where you put your chamois cream is usually not a good thing.

Tony - My Doug used the DZNuts emborcation cream for cross season and said how wonderful it was.  Scary story, I didn't know what it was at the time and since we have DZ Nuts chamois cream I came very close to having a very bad experience while preping for a bike ride this fall.  Yikes!   Lesson Learned: READ LABELS CAREFULLY!!

And as long as we are talking about "alternative" uses for products. Is that a cucumber in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?

This information was in The New York Times several weeks ago as part of their "Spotlight on the Home" series that highlighted creative and fanciful ways to solve common problems.

1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.

2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.

3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.

4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.

5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!

6. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!

7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.

8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.

9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!

10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown the reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.

11. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.

12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean...

13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!

DZ Nuts chamois cream is awesome.  DZNuts emborcation cream would be really, really bad in the same spot.

Okay, you are all dust if I hurt myself laughing before I get on the plane tomorrow.

I still need to:

vacuum, dust, clean a few bathrooms, stretch, finish the laundry, finish the list for the 'babysitter family', finalize my Dad's caregiver, change my car pickup time (the flight changed - today), pay the bills, stretch, empty all the trash, cans to the curb, find Jeff's passport, lock up all the alcohol, stretch, docusign my name AND Jeff's for escrow, replace Zach's track spikes, get off teh computer, explain to Zach, and his gf's family  why Zach can't date while I'm gone, PACK...............

Oh, and watch the SHARKS play round 1, game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs......

I guess it depends on what computer you're using. If you are using a PC I find it is easiest to:

1) save the image as

2) open it up with paint

3) go to image --> stretch/skew

4) under stretch change the percentages proportionately i.e. 100% --> 50% for both horizontal and vertical

That should shrink your image enough to be uploaded. If you have a Mac i'm sure the process would be the same but you'd just be using a different photo editor.
