Yay!! You have plenty of time to train and will do wonderfully.

YEEEEAAAAAH

Train smart, train conservatively (for your first), that is indeed plenty of time, now being a good time to start (that's always the best time to start ), and the only injury that should prevent you would be, like, if you fell off your bike or tripped really badly onto something.

Fudging wish I had time myself to watch diamond league. Thanks to my DVR perhaps I can watch it in 2014. OK that's kind of a lie because I have managed to rip through all of Orange is the New Black. Smile

Hey, am I allowed to race the mile on Wednesday or would my time be better spent doing a track workout and worry about the mile after AGNats?

I had WILD week last week. One small glimpse into my trip was that I got in a foot race with a gaggle of wild turkeys. I lost. My legs are all scratched up and bruised from running in the sage brush.

I'm humbled to the core.

All I have to say is that food shouldn’t hurt going in or going out.  Yes, you can now starting singing Johnny Cash ‘Burnin’ Ring of Fire’ in your head for your own amusement.

Would this have helped the space problem in the 10k?

Bwahahahahahaha!

I don't know... I've been "clenching" for the better part of 24 hours now in the hopes that I don't shart.  It could have turned out very badly for everyone around me if this had been during the race!

You have the most epic adventures.

So waiting for the local REI to open on Saturday (for the scratch n dent sale) I was chatting with a man whose niece works at Sbux HQ. Something to do with the pamphlets/brochures for the international stores?! Nice enough guy tho.

Oh, and I got these at the sale. Person returned them after one wearing. They look brand-y new but cost me $45.

Hmmm, that actually sounds close-ish to my department in terms of International and Store Design (I assume) although I've never heard of that particular job.

I had the old version of the connects and loved them. Actually debating getting new connects or the drifts. I heart shopping the garage sale section!

This was me on 7/28/11:

And this is me today (I just took this picture 5 mins ago):

After an awesome, totally fun swim workout this morning, I'm looking forward to celebrating with a healthy meal and a good nights sleep.  Wow times sure have changed!  I kind of like loving myself.  I think I will do this for many, many years to come.

Holy cow, what a transformation!!!  Dude, you're amazing!  I think you need to post that in TT.

Originally posted by jmkizer Jo - I'm glad that the session with Coach Mark went well.  Have fun on the footpath this week!

Stacey - Sorry that there are no puppies in your immediate future.  That's a bummer :-(

Jen - Bad RDs SUCK!  Happy 420 to you thought ;-)  I'm with Switch, frame the bib!

I am TOTALLY keeping this bib.  I made extra effort to not let it get all crumpled up on the way home.

And I'm wearing the shirt today.  Possibly all week after what I went through to get it.  Fortunately, it's not hideously ugly or I would have REALLY been pissed.

The smaller stores don't have a "section" like Seattle and Denver do. Instead they have a garage sale every 3 months or so. In Albuquerque people line up pretty early and the store puts all the gear out at once. In Santa Fe they put bits of it out over a two day period. I like the Albuquerque way better.

Please tell me you were around when "text Tony" was a euphemism.  I think you should literally text him every time you...ahem..."text" him.

Salty, your FB post this morning made my day.  If any of you missed it, it says:

I have an event this Friday at 5:15 that is in my calendar as 4 emoticon pandas and that's it. No other details. Any ideas?

I literally laughed out loud at work.  And then relayed it to my coworkers who were also entertained.

I think I am caught up here and on RRs.  I hope I didn't miss any manatee ones!  My thoughts for today:

1. Damn, I'm sore!  Hoping to make it to yoga tomorrow at 7.

2. I think my bike has a name: Nymeria.  Yes, it's a GoT reference, but it came to me during my race on Sunday while we were riding.

3. Manatees are pretty faching awesome racers.  I hope one day to be like all of you.

HA!  It still is a euphemism in TAN... and with a couple of other friends who are no longer on BT.  I have, in fact, texted him before when I was "texting" him - it was just weird though!  Then again, possibly not as weird as when we're sitting on the couch next to each other and messaging back and forth.

We're such geeks.

MANATEES!

Thank you all so much for your support with my biking!  I will get there.  Was raining yesterday so didn't get out but will tonight, even just one up and down the path will do it.

I saw piglet Andrew last night for personal training - first one in 6 weeks, am feeling it this morning - getting on and off the toilet is no easy feat - lucky i didn't eat the chillies!

Well done all you racers - Ben, consider yourself STALKED!  Don't be scared...

Today is lunchtime run and a trainer ride tonight after a footpath exploit or two.

BAHAHAHA

All sorts of really inappropriate comments come to mind ...

Actually it reminds me of when I used to post shyte in CoJ from my (handwritten) date book and nobody else could figure it out, either.
