That is great.  Sometimes we need to interject the fun back into training.  I did something similar this week.  I blew off whatever the schedule said and went for a group ride with "my boys."  I had so much fun chasing them around that I forgot how much I was working.  If it isn't fun then why are we doing it?

Like today, I think I might blow off my swim and go get a pedicure.  After all the running I've been doing my toes are getting fugly.  And I run faster with pretty feet   I believe John has the same motto.

I hoped my body would knock it out on its own, but I finally went to the Doc this AM since it has not been getting better and seems to be worsening. Also, I decided to be be careful about things like this after reading about BiggyFuzzyDoug's cancer diagnosis in Cup O' Joe.

Well, I have some kind of infection. I get my drops tonight and some Claratin, and hopefully that will clear things up. My jaw aches and the Doc said that is from liquid draining down my eustacion  (sic) tube.

I have been feeling run down lately, and maybe it has something to do with my body using resources to fight the infection.

I know this is not interesting perse or sexy, but  I just wanted to share.

jvanis - 2010-08-06 10:00 AM One pic from my race this weekend, can you tell my seat looks a bit off at nearly 7 degrees negative, funny I was comfortable and never noticed having to reposition or sliding.

My knee is actually not hitting my elbow, it just looks like it from this angle. Wish the lighting would have been a bit better.

I feel like I have committed the cardinal training sin.  I rolled over this morning and went back to sleep instead of getting up for a workout that may now be hard to fit into the day.  Last week was such a great training week and this week has sucked.  I've been tired, no time to fit in all of my workouts and my muscles just feel drained of all firing power.  It is very frustrating.    Sorry - rant is over.

I think the blue is from the Toilet cleaning fluid. I wonder if she is saying thanks that she doesn't have to see your feet anymore!

happened to me a few months back.  now i dump alcohol in each ear after every swim.   and thanks for sneaking "perse" in there.  i had to go find it.  got me a new word!!!!

i can never understand her so no matter what she says, i just shake my head no and say yes.  lately she's been doing the same thing back to me and we both laugh.

i think the swimmer drops are mostly alcohol to.  one of those ounce of prevention things i guess. 

Mett - 2010-08-06 1:56 PM Did a good stretch, and a really slow warmup yesterday before hitting the trails. I ran with my wife again, which is working out well. We ended up doing 2.5 miles in 32 minutes and there is a ton of steep hills. This is pretty amazing as I didnt hurt at all and almost ran the entire thing.
