Way to go, Judi!  That's totally awesome.  You inspire me.

And me?  I've been actively avoiding this forum since I've been on a bender since my birthday.  But - this week is a reset week.  And it's been going well so far (with the exception of a slice of pizza last night at the Blackhawks game).  Hopefully I'll have good things to report tomorrow!

Good job getting back at it and resetting. Hiding your head and avoiding us will do you no good. (That sounded kinda like a threat, didn't it) Bwah hahahahaha

I am the same weight. Not bad with all the turbulence that has been going on the last couple of weeks. I am going to do my measurements because I know I have lost some inches.

Blanda- awesome job!!!

Robin- Yes, measurements are so much more important than the scale. I need to start doing that again too.

Laura- Hope the "reset" went well this week!

ok ok, I have a good excuse this time.  Appendicitis.  I haven't weighed myself after getting it out, but I don't think that it was enough to make a difference on the scale.  Right now I am recovering and trying to be somewhat productive while being on pain pills (not an easy task).  I'm not supposed to really exert myself for a couple weeks, but I'll ease myself back into tri-training after that (I had gotten a couple of morning runs in last week before my "special visitor").  Best of luck to everyone else, I'll join in with you on the next challenge (I should be back to normal-ish by then).

Thanks all.  On the bright side, I was staying with my parents down here while I was doing my seasonal field research.  So when I came down with appendicitis, I had a ride to the ER and nurses mom and dad to take care of me when I came back home from the hospital.  Although it cut down on my productivity, I was fortunate in other ways for the timing of everything.  Feeling better already (no pain meds yet today so my mind is staying pretty clear)!  Maybe I can get into work in the next few days...

Glad you're feeling better already, Tom! Agree that removing body parts is quite an extreme to go to in order to lose weight.

I am the same this week. I still need to do some measurements though because there is a looseness that I hadn't noticed before in some clothes (not a lot, but any is just fine with me),

That's exactly the kind of results that you want ... doesn't matter what the scale says as long as clothes are fitting better.

And Tom - wow!  That does seem a little extreme for just wanting to lose weight.    Glad to hear you're feeling better!

So, despite this challenge being officially over on March 31st, we're going to continue, right?  Right?!?!

March was a black hole of a month for me.  Lots of over-eating from excessive birthday celebrating to start out and then I spent the last week sick at home with the flu (unfortunately, not a stomach bug, so I didn't even lose much weight).

The good news is that weight-wise, I'm about the same (perhaps a touch better?) than where I left off in February.  As I start recovering from this stupid illness, I'm back on the wagon and looking forward to getting back out there.

I also have body fat testing scheduled for Thursday.  That should be interesting.  While I only dropped about a pound over last week, the inactivity had an impact on my bf%, according to my Tanita scale (I don't think the number itself is correct, but the trend is usually dependable).... so, lost muscle not fat.  Blech.

I am up for going on. I haven't changed body comp much but I have gotten some better habits so it would be good to really enact them.

Thanks, Laura! So glad you're feeling better!

I am definitely in for continuing on!

What do you all think about extending the date to, June 20th, Summer Solstice? We could change the forum title to Body Composition Challenge: Swimsuit Season and update the spreadsheet ( I'm not entirely sure how to do that, but hopefully someone here knows how).

Yep, that sounds like a plan. (I can't make those changes to the thread either).

I would like a re-try.  I'm back on the wagon now it seems having worked out (run) more in the last 2 weeks than in the last 2 months it seems.

Guys, I was up a little this week. I expected it though. The night prior I was up till midnight waiting to hear from my husband who was flying to place of deployment. In my worried state I ate just about anything that wasn't raw.

Overall though I've lost 6 pounds! I'm stoked about that. I'm stronger than I've been in years and having a place to check it with my business has kept me honest.

I'd love for a swimsuit edition!

Go here to sign up.  We will just track weights in the spreadsheet but you still need to track your other stats and photos in your blog.
