Congrats, Julia! 5' PR on an HM is some stellar speediness...and hurtin' is GOOT! Nice to see ya, Ryan! David, I did/do a lot of those sub-threshold intervals these past two years and can attest to speed improvements, but I sure do curse them when I see them on my schedule. Ten minutes just seems to take forever!!! (let alone x3). Go Racers! Go Bree!

Ryan, I appreciate your bike training comments even though they are to David. The Oly distance is still close to LT and I have not been training hard enough on my bike. I am re-planning my winter bike plan now, thanks again!

Two IM newbies from my tri-club are out of the water at 1:03 (male and a female), an experienced IM er is out at 1:04. I hope they are saving up for the 112 + 26.2.

John, have fun!!

I'm headed to the Badger game and won't see any splits until tonight unless someone is willing to text/email me some!

Way to kick a$$ Julia!

Love that you lurk RP. And you like hills because you can easily haul that small frame up them!  And I'm not talking just about your bike .  Go ahead Fatty and make some wise a$$ comment about that.

Spontaneity continues for Minnow....so love Fall running, especially since it's the first time I have had a Fall in over three years!

Bree is hurting. Just ran by me at the turn and almost fell over. By far the crowd favorite.

So I finished the wodworking project for tonight's birthday party and here it is:

The case hold's my Coach Marty's winner's Belt Buckles for 2009, 2010, and 2011 (every year the race has been held). I routed the sections that hold the bucles out of cherry. They are divided by maple strips and the frame is custom made from NC Black Walnut.

Here is a photo of the 2011 medal:

Hope he likes it. Took two hours today to clean the shop.

ashort33 - 2011-11-04 11:38 PM I bought a case of apples (40lbs) and will be making homemade apple butter while tracking our IM athletes.  I think I will bake some fresh bread for next week as well...

Would you like me to pm my address so you can send some this way?

Awesome job Julia!!!

Doug - the case is beautiful.

I'm guessing the trio is on the run.  I hope they are hanging in there and running strong.

This may be all for tonight from me.  I'm beat.  Up late last night baking for a bake sale to raise $ for a local food bank with the kids.  The sale was this morning and we raised $215.  Kids were very happy.  Many other errands and a soccer game then dinner.  Not sure my run is happening today.  I've gone straight 50+ miles for the week to major taper.  LOL
