Elite ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Ok...day not starting off so good nutrition wise. I should have expected this, since when I am tired I make poor choices. So I went to the store on my first break and got a diet soda...but then I also got trail mix...normally this wouldn't be too bad...but I at the bag and it was a honey roasted nuts kind....Well...that will be the treat I give myself for making my june goal! Time to get serious in July. |

Went across the state yesterday and met up with a group of BTers this morning for 40 mi ride and 4 mi run. Afterwards me and the wife went shopping and I ate not so good. We ate at Potbellys, first time and very good. Then a few road snacks and an impromtu family party before we even got home. So sad to say a six pack later and we are home licking our wounds. Tomorrow will be better. Don't sweat it, after that ride and run, you deserve to recharge the batteries... It's really all the times in between that should be scrutinized. You did great and obviously a victory lunch/dinner was warrented. ![]() |

I did my first successful OWS triathlon today! (I did one last year and I sucked...lots of kayak and buoy hanging...and dragging in it backstroke). Today, I had to backstroke a couple times to get my breath, but otherwise it was freestyle all the way, no kayak hanging, AND it was about twice the distance of the other sprint swims I've done!!! I'm so proud of myself, I ate 2 oreos, and the post-race brunch of pulled pork BBQ, coleslaw, and potato salad. And now I'm going to have a nice lunch of leftover pizza. (There's only 3 slices left and I have to share, so no chance of going overboard. But I think we're going out for ice cream this afternoon. Yikes!) I new you could do it... Any post race pix???? ![]() |

I have achieved my goal of 195 for June...So for July I want to hit 190. Taking this whole thing slow. Hope everyone has a great monday! That's the way to do it. Work hard and reap all the benefits. Well done!!!! Now if you hit a plateau, then we need to change it up a bit, let us know. ![]() |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Yesterday, jokingly, I told my mom I was starving myself (fast). She got all freaked out, and made me eat a sandwhich at 41 hrs in... It was a small one, but I haven't wavered yet. I'm extending till midnight tonight, just because of the small meal, and then it's back to normal... Scale News--> 183, all time new low. I think my june goal was around 186, so... I'm making a new goal of 180. We'll see how far I get with that. ![]() |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Kind of Cad: I am thinking of the teams: red, white and blue depending who joins in. I will randomly select people tomorrow and post the break out. More can be added at any time since it is a FUN challenge amongst us. I know that I will be on one Enders on another and probably Shermbelle on the third. Red: Saling4, Comet, Cad, Ceade White: Enders. Sappho, Tricupcake, ??? Blue: Sherm, Runningwoof, I146Q, ??? I think we will start in England and work our way to Ireland and across the pond. Stop in Virginy for some Vinno.

I had a decent dinner w/... Chicken, Green beans, and rice! Tons of water during and after dinner, and then a few hard boiled eggs. I'm still shooting for 183 and then 180. |

Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Shermbelle - 2008-07-01 12:52 AM Well it looks like the Blue team will be doing the brunt of the work Lets go men and show these.... ugh... others how its done! I hear that! ![]() ![]() I think the major thing is keeping our feet taken care of so that our runs, bikes, and swims won't hinder us from future progress... Kind of like they did during vietnam, jungle rot, athletes foot, blisters, sprains, etc, etc... We need to make every mile count, and I think set up a mandatory goal of a certain number of miles per person each wk, and then everything else is gravy... Of course we'll decide together through PM's what mandatory mileage is best suited for each of us, but what do you all think??? Also I'll be working mostly on my running since I recently snapped a tooth on my back derailleur, so there's an annoying skip and chain slip everytime I come to that tooth. I'm afraid the most I'll get out of it is about 2 mi, at any given time before it gets overly annoying. From what I gather, runningwoof is fairly decent on the bike and until his achilles heels... I think his strengths would be on the bike. Now for you sherm, where do you think you'll do best? Both of you keep in mind that I believe we're to continue training in all aspects of traditional s/b/r, but if we're going to win??? I think we need to start training as a team, albeit virtual! That means nutrition too. We need to buckle down and start being accountable. |

Obviously the White Team is full of rockstars. Are you sure these teams are fair, Saling? ![]() |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Ah, Now fair is in the eyes of the beholder. I think I took advantage of everyone since my mini-team is set to explode with training and weight numbers. |
