Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge Ok - I need some cattle prodding. I know this is a run-challenge, which is great for my motivation to train for the marathon, but all the other stuff - swimming, core work, etc is going to the wayside. I need a taser to get my lazy butt outta bed. Dee? Someone? |

Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge runnerx - 2009-10-08 6:45 AM Oh by the way, I got my number for NYC Marathon - I'm in the first corral of the second wave - which is pretty cool. Last year i was 3rd corral of wave2 and it felt like I was in the lead pack of THE NYC MARATHON!!! This will even be better. I have to run it...I have to run it... Robert - did you check your number? you have to log in to see it. That's so cool!! You're going to feel like such a rock star out there. I've got eight miles on the schedule today. What's up with all this "swimming" you folks are doing??? |

We're both in Wave 2 although you're on the orange route, I'm on blue. i believe both are on the upper level of the Verrazano bridge which means better views, and more excitement. I've been on the lower level too and that's alot more quiet. We'll be running on different sides of 4th Ave in Brooklyn till about mile 8 when all the routes merge. it's gonna be a great day!! |

I was nervous that it would have to turn into an open surgery. Pain is manageable now and I've been able to eat. I'm going to try to take a walk with my husband when he gets home from work. Maybe I can set a walking goal for the month. I'm shooting for 5 - 10 minutes today. |

Master 1356 | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge LOL. I swam yesterday too and ohh it felt good... I'm feeling it in my poor shoulder/back today though. I should run 3.5 today, but I also must pack for a weekend away so might just do my pushups today and do the run tomorrow on the coast. We'll see how the next coupla hours play out -- but given that my son JUST howled while napping, this doesn't bode well. Off to mother... |

Master 1632 Almost Canada, WA | Subject: RE: E.V.I.L. Running Reapers - Halloween Run Challenge Hey All! So who here gets a long weekend this weekend ~ for those of you who are about to ask "what for?", Columbus Day!? Us military folk take it for granted that every holiday (and some made up) turn into long weekends! I have managed to fit in all my scheduled runs so far this month and it MUST continue for my 1/2 mary is coming up! I do think, however, that I am ditching my strength training today 'cuz my legs have been really heavy the last few weeks so I will give them a rest today (after already having done my run this morn) and tomorrow since it is my rest day! |

Us military folk take it for granted that every holiday (and some made up) turn into long weekends! Apparently, I don't have it off. Because I needed to keep reading your post to find out WHY it was a long weekend. So no, we don't have Monday off.... It's just another same-old-Monday-kinda-workday. |

I remember after my surgery, I tried to walk along my street. I had always thought the road there was FLAT, but after the surgery, I learned that it resembled a roller coaster. LOL |
