Extreme Veteran 1332 | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! There, 50 pushups, 50 crunches ( 30 push 30 crunch 20 push 20 crunch ) Is it bad if the pushups were easier than the crunches? I felt weak sooner on the crunches.... Guess I've got core work to do :p That being said, between a cup of mixed veg at breakfast and a tonne of salad on my tacos tonight I'm at 10 green servings for the week ( at least depending on definition of a serving ) Now I have a run to go do.... |

Expert 1951 | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! Great updates! I weighed in today and the scale hasn't changed this week. I'd have to say greens wise I prolly added 3 servings that I wouldn't normally eat. I think that anyone who took the greens challenge this week, and increased their normal intake, was a contest winner :=) We all get to wear leafy green crowns this weekend. And may we all keep it up. |

Extreme Veteran 544 Shawboro, NC | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! 12 ounces of water out of 120 done. A 1/2oz. per pound of body weight challenge is a bear for a 240lb Clydesdale! 25 push-ups done... counting those for my core as well since I do them with my feet elevated which works the core pretty well. 25 crunches down, too. I'm about to go throw down with 3 or 4 miles of running. I'll bust out the other 25 push-ups and crunches after the run. Did I mention how difficult a water challenge is for a dude my size? |

Member 107 South Wales, UK | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! So many challenges! So weigh in last week 128 and this week 126.8 even tho I haven't been exercising much due to family commitments this week. I think it's a great idea to start a new thread just for the challenges, especially for those who have little time to read through all the post. Thanks all xxxxx happy weekend xxxxx |

Extreme Veteran 544 Shawboro, NC | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! My update on today's challenge: drink water half your weight in oz 32 ounces down, which means I have about 88 to go. I might float away after this challenge.
I've repented for finding green foods to be ill suited to my flavor palette. I have nothing against folks who like greens, I just find the texture and flavor of nearly anything green to be completely unappetizing. I will have some green beans later, though... they're one of the very few green foods I will eat.
How's 50 sound? With the feet raised about 1'? Call it DONE!!
50, right? DONE!!
Maybe some green beans in a little bit. It IS lunch time.
On an other note, I just got back from running 4.1 miles. Here are my times, according to Strava: 9:33 for Mile 1 |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! I can't catch up with the last 3 pages...but I am "down" from last week's weight (by 0.2, but still), I finished my 4th half-mary of the season, I had a nice brunch with Judi (QueenZipp), and now I'm sleepy. Oh, and another highlight to the end of my season? My first race ending in the med-tent. (Severe leg cramps due to dehydration?)...Managed to recover enough to do brunch, so that's all that mattered. Tonight, tomorrow - a little bit of sloth. Monday - back on the plan. Back to the challenges. |

Expert 1951 | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! Totally missed the challenges for today. But I did repentance by doing a 1.5 hour tough trail ride on my fat tire. Followed it up with three mile run. Fantastic weather here in Florida. November is awesome!!! Dry and cool. My eating habits for the last few days have been less than stellar. My husband is off (he works every other weekend) so we've been out and about. He's also a damm good cook. Tomorrow I'll be good. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! Not great on the veggies today, the post race bunch was delicious but a couple of baby gherkin pickles and some lettuce do not make for stellar veggie intake. We went out for dinner and it didn't settle well. Picked at my dinner. Only thing that seems to stay decently is carbs which I don't really want to load up on.....Good on the water though |

As I posted earlier, the only challenge I really had left to tackle (not counting the greens challenge) was the water challenge. I'm 32 ounces short of my 120 ounces, and I feel like I'm gonna float away. It felt good trying, though. I'll see if I can make tomorrow another 96 ounce day.
And, to make all the ladies smile, my wedding attire: (I ended up ditching the tie, though... turns out my shirt is just a smidgeon too small at the neck.) |

Member 14 | Subject: RE: DOWN for the Holidays! Ok Abbie - I'm in on this challenge! I just finished my first 70.3 on September 30th and my usually-125lb 5'3 frame is at 136 and holding. Granted, my bike training added some thigh and butt bulk, but I really want to get back down to a comfortable weight before I start training again in January. I've tailored my workouts to accomodate for some dieting and have ischemic colitis, so grains are out and sugar intake is low. Right now, my workouts are: SUN: Nice long run or ride, usually 2 hours MON: 60 minute spin class TUES: 70 minute power weight class and core WED: 60 mins yoga THURS: Run (depends on my schedule, anywhere between 5-10k and I push it) FRI: 70 minute power weight class and core SAT: OFF |

glad you're here. looking at your training the only thing i dont like doing is the spinning class, at least in my area all they ever have is bikes with heavy weighted flywheels for resistance which mainly works your hamies and burns cal's and messed up my cycling position, never got a good work out. whats your pace on thur. |
