I should be finished all my goals by Monday, some will be over! I hope everyone has a great weekend! If you are racing good luck and have fun! GO GECKOS! Good thing you clarified it was a family camping trip. I was thinking that you were back to burning PEEPS at the stake again. |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Kamikaze Geckos zipp1 - 2008-06-27 8:59 PM I rode for 47 minutes--most of it on a street in my neighborhood. I know it sounds boring as all get oout but I finally got myself to get in the aero bars and stay there for most of the ride. I got out of aero for shifting and turning only. That's a first, I've had these bars since Christmas and have only gotten in aero for a couple minutes here and there so the ride tonight is a first. Nice job!! |

Science Nerd 28760 Redwood City, California | Subject: RE: Kamikaze Geckos I got my bike goal done today. I went faster than I thought on the bike, so I rode back to my car and around the parking lot so I finished it up. Not sure how much left on the run and swimming (waiting for race times to get posted), but it shouldn't be any problem to finish them up tomorrow. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Kamikaze Geckos June Challenge Team Standings - Week #4June is now 97% completed. Only TWO MORE DAYS remain in the challenge! Here's how the teams stand, with just over a week to go:FIRST PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 92.7% SECOND PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 89.5% THIRD PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 83.0% FOURTH PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 79.5% With only TWO DAYS TO GO, we have a NEW CHALLENGE LEADER! Congratulations to the Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT)! June isn't over yet, but there are ONLY TWO MORE DAYS! So remember - if you don't MOVE IT this month, your team is likely to LOSE IT! PLEASE UPDATE THE SPREADSHEET WITH YOUR FINAL TOTALS BY MIDNIGHT (LOCAL TIME), TUESDAY JULY 1st. Team captains: Please assist your team members with this, if needed. Special Note: If you dealing with "acts of nature," such as smoke from wildfires, and this is preventing you from training, please let me know. Depending upon your situation, you may request to revise your goals. And remember - You may now achieve 110% of your individual goals! This means you can challenge yourself even more, or help out teammates who may be struggling to meet their goals. For example: Your swim goal may now reach 110% Your run goal may now reach 110% Your bike goal may now reach 110% Your "other" goal may now reach 110% Each individual goal will be capped at 110%. (In other words, you can't do 125% of a goal.) This means that you could, conceivably, reach a "super achiever" 110% total. Need a reminder of what happens at the end of June? The winning team(s) will display a signature line: "My team won the June Challenge!" All other (losing) teams will display an avatar of something that SHOULD have made them move more! This could be your shoes (ie: you should have run more), or your bike (ie: you should have biked more), or your bathing suit (ie: you should have swam more), or.... etc. Avatars and signature lines will be displayed for the month of July. After that, it's your choice whether to leave it, or remove it. - Dee |

But there may be others who can't. Or they may not have the type of flexible schedule that allows them to work around this. Or they may be very sensitive to smoke. Etc. Based upon this, I wanted to leave the option open that a person in this situation could request a goal revision. (Also, requesting a goal revision doesn't always result in one. It really depends upon the situation.) So far, no one has asked for one, btw. |
