zipp1 - 2008-09-05 10:09 PM I'm playing at Great Wolf Lodge.  It's a blast!  I'm climbing rope nets to ride water slides with 5 yr olds!    We're going up the massive stairs to a slide and I realize that my HR is up almost as much as when I'm riding or swimming!

My kids like it better than Disney and I'm keeping it a secret from them that they're building one 45 minutes from my house .

They are?  Where?  I want to go.  Sounds like fun.

I was wondering the same thing, Kendra. We didn't even get one drop of rain from it. It was originally forecasted to be about 78 degrees today. It's 92 out right now. Yeah, it was a sweaty salt fest at the metric century this morning. Especially since we didn't roll out until 9 am. But at least I supported the Humane Society

Yes.  They still haven't given details on the race.  Not sure how it's going to go tomorrow.

The unknown is stressing me out a little bit, so I decided to carb-load with a bit of wine and we're ordering pizza.

We're dry here now - well, from the sky at least...not the least bit dry on the ground.

Yeah, that's bothering me too.  I wish they would say SOMETHING about it.

I had pizza last night, so I have to eat well tonight.  Chicken and brown rice for me.

I wish I wasn't sick.

enders_shadow - 2008-09-06 12:32 PM At least, thus far, knock on wood - cross fingers - etc... our enjoyment of college football is not affected by the storm. I can't get the HD of the Iowa game, but we have it in regular def, and besides - there's about 6 Big10 games on right now so we're flipping. (Sugar Daddy thinks we're watching mostly the UMich game, but I'm not so sure.)

No love for the Wisconsin game on TV.

Not that you want to see it.

I don't think I wanted to watch the first quarter.  Not so bad after that.

I think the swim got canned because the river gets nasty contaminates in storms.  Folks that live in the area tell me it gets NASTY.

I have no official word, but it has been suggested by a few people that we're du-ing 5K-40K-10K  (ouch, that hurts to think about!)

It gets pretty icky in Richmond after it rains and I swim upstream of the city.  I can't imagine how gross it is in Williamsburg.

I've heard it the other way too - 10k/40k/5k.  I feel like I'd rather get the long run out of the way first.  Then I don't have to deal with it anymore.

BAD - not knowing any information about the stooopid duathlon, especially run#1 distance.

GOOD - eating pizza for dinner

BAD - having pizza place mess up the pizza order

GOOD - having them give me the messed up pizza for free on top of the right order (especially 'cause the wrong pizza had mushrooms...which we don't order because noone eats but me...which means I got a pizza to myself)
